why do people use ugly armor? I understand different tastes in armor but I just don’t understand how people like some of these sets that doesn’t even look like a spartan more like something from starwars.
The only Halo game I have an armor issue with is Halo 4, but most of the time I hardly see anyone use the trashy sets.

On halo 4 I see it all the time
I see it mostly in Reach
Most of the armor is ugly and knockoffs from other games (i.e. Venator helmet = Dead Space 2 Security RIG helmet), but it has some cool permutations. I noticed al my favorites were updates from older, Bungie styles (Scout, Recon and Enforcer) The real tragedy is the color options. I keep seeing people decking their Spartan out in badass permutations only to color them like sherbert ice cream. I wanted to create a desert camo, but ended up with something that looked like chocolate pudding with a vanilla swirl. I hope they fix this.
I like the C.I.O helmet, it looks so good! The single problem is that you have to kill LOTS of spartans but is -Yoink- worth it! I’m at Spartan Slayer - Master ~1700/2400. My favourite armor combination is:
- Feet - Bulk - Torso - Infiltrator - Shoulders - Orbital - Arms - Shifting - Helmet - C.I.O (still working or it)
I agree the armour was ugly, the armour on halo 5 is looking the same to sadly 
I have to admit though a lot of the armour does look really really good, some just looked like they were rushing
The only armour I’ll be sticking with is the classic Mk VI

IMO Reach had the best armor style of any Halo game. It definitely surpassed Halo 4.

I agree I really liked Reach’s Armor. Halo 4’s armor looked too flamboyant.
Does anyone else miss the special armor piece that went on the legs in Reach? Those were cool!
Personally I like every games armor but in each game there’s always at least 1 that I find vary disgusting
Armour in any Halo game can be liked or disliked it just depends on personal tastes. Honestly for me the visors of Halo 4 (not just because they are HD) appeal to me more in clour and texture compared to Halo 3 as the Visors have clear sculpture and rich color rather than the mostly flat and bland visors of Halo 3.
No offense to haters, just personal opinion.
Halo 4 armor is crap . It’s the only halo game I have a problem with when it comes to armor … The hole point of being a badass Spartan was to have an awesome looking armor and that super shiny visor that leaves everyone wondering woah what’s that Spartan thinkin about . But take a look at halo 4s armor I’m not even sure what half of that crap is
Most the armour is ugly in it, reach looked more practical.

I personally always thought the Soldier helmet was the Ugliest thin on planet Earth! my best friend wore it for aages and it really annoyed me because he said it looked awesome!!!
