U guys really need a whole department just for tracking cheaters

Want to know a big reason why alot of Og halo and new halo players left ??? Ez for 20 years we did not had to deal with wallers and aimbooter 85% of the games we play … yeah in halo 2 / 3 and reach we had to deal with lag switchers … and host booters but u did not face them on a regular basic … in this game the cheaters are so constand that it actually a normal thing now … wallers / xim apex users and aimbooters is anoying u can literaly go see lucid stream and his you tube channel is like he faces one pay session … or more

U need a department to take care of the fairnes of the game like in apex … with hideouts … copy the good things from other Triple A game not the bad things …

First off it is actually somewhat difficult to tell who’s actually cheating and who isn’t thanks to the god awful desync, servers, and joke that is theater mode.

Secondly, cheats now days are just getting advanced. Some are even AI based. It’s becoming more and more difficult for all developers and publishers to track and stop cheating. Call of Duty is a prime example.

Desync and “unstable latency” kills me more than any other cheater ever will.

now COD is trying something new to fight against the cheaters and i think you have read it also.
since there use it for the new overwatch game also that PC accounts most add there mobile phone nummer to it.

Two step SMS verification was added to PC for Call of Duty in early 2021. The only new announcement was it’ll also come to MW2 and Warzone 2. It’s not new. And it doesn’t work.

or or hear me out, get rid of Free To Play. May not stop them but it’ll slow them down. Having to rebuy the game over and over again. No one’s that desperate to cheat. If they are that’s just sad.

but have there not chance it so now that you only can use mobile phone’s from a provider membership only are working and that prepaid phone’s are not working at all.

I know. It’s been that way since early 2021. Still cheaters.

i not know that there have been using something like that all since 2021 since i play more only on the xbox console and not on the pc with that type game’s at all.

still cheaters is something we most deal with since no company can do something about then any more.
and that means more that the PC communety most accept then more in a way then.

but one thing i can tell IGotRusty for sure is that with halo infinite its all thanks to the 2 bigst mistake’s 343 has done with the multiplayer from halo that there is a big cheater problem in the first place.

I kept asking Joe Staten if the game even has an anti cheat. After months of silence, he finally did confirm on twitter that the game has anti cheat and that they were working on improving it. This was back in May.

Since then there’s been radio silence on anti cheat. There’s been no improvements to anti cheat. There’s been no reviews of cheaters in tickets, they’re either ignored or closed without communicating. If you play ranked today you still get someone seeing through walls every couple games.

Considering how these are all day 1 hacks and they’ve still gone unchecked. one must conclude that the game has 0 anti cheat.

Next year we get in game reporting finally. But it’s doubtful any action is taken against those who cheat.

There has been people caught using cheats in official HCS tournaments to win money. They still got paid and still compete. no fines, no suspensions. It’s atrocious.

It’s just a sad scene to witness people cheat in video games that have no real world financial value. Why I truly believe number ranks in Halo never came back. I remember in the Halo 3 days, people would sell level 50 accounts.

The phone number verification is an EU law regarding online accounts it’s not meant to prevent cheating

Cheaters in ranked are an occasional issue, although it seems to be particularly bad in FFA right now.

What gets me is the people that cheat in stupid things like the Yappening and fiesta, I’ve run into some there a few times and it’s so baffling why people waste money and time on it.

Deterring and removing cheaters unfortunately isn’t as easy as snapping ones fingers like 343i has the infinite gauntlet and having them all be erased. You actually have to actively adjust and change your approach because every time you find one way to deal with them, they soon after will find away around your currently approach and continue cheating.
