I genuinely believe that Tyrant is probably the worst online multiplayer map I’ve ever played, in any game, ever.
The spawns are flawed, there are too many blind bends and turns, the Gameplay feels stop start, the multi level play doesn’t work, there are too many choke points and the sight lines are all just generally poor.
I’m not sure what the overall player feedback is, but I’m not sure how it made it through play testing. I hate the map so much I actually quit my first ever game of halo this evening and then subsequently got a 25 minute ban - as if I couldn’t hate the map enough already!
Anyone else feel the same?

Sword base from reach would be the worst in my opinion. For H5 it would be Overgrowth.
I disagree, mayb you just don’t know how to play it…
rat race halo CE= worst map ever
I get spawn killed left and right on that map or it spawns them behind me.

Overgrowth is pretty similar, pit is always a cluster-f**k

Depending on the game type, I can someone’s go 4 lives in a row without going anywhere!
I actually like Tyrant. It’s not a damn remix, it feels like it belongs in the Halo universe and it’s pretty unique compared to other H5 maps. You might like it better if you gave it some time and learned the spawns
I hate tyrant and i do know the spawns. But im either spawn killed constantly or killed by someone spawning right in front of me. Knowing spawns is not that helpful. Its the worst map ever for spawns and there are too many blind corners for campers. I hate it! For slayer its not too bad but ffa is a total lottery

Yeah FFA today was the final straw for me! The spawns were all over the show

Yeah it’s pretty unique, but I think they could have made the spawns a bit better! There’s too much opportunity to get trapped
The map might as well be called ‘Stuck in a Spawn trap’ cos that is what the map does. It is a rubbish ffa map. No skill involved in it whatsoever. Same with torque (though that one is a game of hide and seek).
I don’t think this map would be too bad if they limited the available weapons to short range only with the exception being the sniper spawn which could be swapped out. This would mean fights would be close quaters and toe to toe enabling you to see your foe

Luckily this is something they can fix. I don’t mind it, I just have to change my strategy and play to do even remotely well.
The map is a huge mixed bag for me. You either do well, or you do terrible. The map size does not really help as well, you can run from Blue team spawn onto the sniper spawn into the Red team’s base in 10 seconds. This makes for terrible spawns for everyone, and for FFA, well, don’t get me started on that…

It’s actually a scaled down remix of Coliseum.
I like tyrant but I hate that there are so many places to fall off of the map, it breaks the flow when it happens. I’ve actually been kicked from a game from too many suicides lol.
Im not the biggest fan of it but if you can adjust to it I feel like its fair and I like it so far. Took some time but I like it
You have not played Torque then I assume. Unless you’ve played Betoeds version which is great!
