Tyrant looks to be a remix of Coliseum

Everyone seemed to think the new Arena map in the next update would be a remix of the Rig, but I gotta say, looking at the concept art and screenshots from this article, it looks a lot more like a remix of coliseum.

Firstly, Tyrant and Coliseum are so far the only two maps thus far with a forerunner theme to them. Coincidence? I think not!

The developers noted that effective sniping is a major component to success on this map- very similar to how on Coliseum a player out on one of the perches from the base can be deadly with a sniper. There’s even a screenshot which closely resembles the bases in Coliseum- how in the middle you have that rising stairway to look over everything and the sides lead down for flanking routes.

Lastly, theres a screenshot depicting a scattershot in the middle of the floor, with a grav lift not too far from it, just like coliseum. If this isn’t a remix, I’d be very surprised.

Personally, Coliseum is my favorite map in Arena, so this could be a good thing. Thoughts?

If so, it’s a bummer. I’m sure it will be fine as a map, but I wish 343 would be more original. Hope this isn’t a sign that they recycle maps to cut corners on the updates.

Well I’m not surprised. I expected every map to get a remix in halo 5. And to be honest, a few remixes aren’t that bad. Riptide and Regret are pretty good for close quarters. But newer maps would be nice. I’m really looking forward to a Rig remix though.
