Tyrant is fresh and its aesthetic is beautiful. It’s my most favorite map right now. Instead of Sniper Rifle, Rocket Launcher or Incineration Cannon would fit better. Coliseum and Tyrant make me want Forerunner blocks in Forge. I want to build Forerunner map.
It is indeed a good looking map. Just played it for the first time…fell off the map like 17 -Yoinking!- times, but I’m sure once I figure out how not to do that I’ll like it a lot
The first time i looked at the map I found a floating space grunt floating around the side opposite to the sun.
We need more sci-fi maps like this in outer space.

It’s amazing. I enjoyed it a lot. I love the many routes you can take to flank the enemy for high risk high reward situations.

Once you recognize the map, it will happen unusually.

Agreed, I hope most maps we get in future are in space and based on Forerunner architecture.

Still, it’s better than Overgrowth. The map is so small that learning the spawns is elementary.

You’re right. It never ends… Tell me one map that has been released that is drastically different from that formula. Go on, I’ll wait.

I was actually agreeing with you… but since you asked, I’ve personally found Torque to be pretty open on the outer edges. Some damage can be done with the BR or Sniper. It’s about the only instance I can think of though.

Want a good map? Create one where you have to be close to actually attack something rather than shoot across the map or be able to catch by running around corners…

Welcome to swat? That had to do more with the spawn points not the general layout.
Im not quite sure what point you are trying to make. I don’t like the fact that there are no open maps with cover points. They are all corridor maps where you have to get the first shot running around the corner, or be Spartan charging around.

Better for everyone since it’s a matter of who shoots first rather than stray bullet coming from nowhere…
I have to say, I’m cool with the Sniper Rifle being there. Rockets would be too much on that map. It’s too cramped, you’d get an overkill with one shot. The map requires the sniper to be on their toes, too, since there’s no place to camp out with it and get a decent line of sight on everyone. You have to be good with it (which I’m not, so I’m not just saying that because I’m some crazy sniping wizard, I just think it’s a good power weapon that keeps things balanced).
It reminds me of trying to snipe on Chill Out (and yeah, I know there’s rockets on that map, but it’s bigger). You have to keep moving and there’s nowhere with a good line of sight where no one can’t sneak up or teleport behind you. So if you stay on your toes and are good with snapshots, you can do very well.
I’ve only played it once, so I’m not quite used to how it plays.
But that sun is spectacularly beautiful.
Yeah it looks ok but those hallways are way too narrow, they need to open it up a bit more like Haven.
Right now, the lines of sight just make it an unplayable mess. Good if you only like to spartan charge though.
