The base buyer: He thinks the goal of the game is to buy the most bases possible, at the 4 minutes mark expect him to have 3 bases but no units.
The tech up guy: He thinks the goal of the game is to tech up the fastest possible, again he won’t build much units in the 10 first minutes.
The scarab/condor rush guy: He won’t do anything in the 10 first minutes only to build a super unit that will get destroyed pretty quickly.
The one trick poney rusher: He will have a pretty good rush but if it fails expect him to be bad as he doesn’t have any plan B.
The Decimus banshee guy: Very popular and very good if you let him too much time to develop you will lose the game.
The Pavium turret guy: A bit like the base buyer guy he will have 3 mega turrets at the 5 minutes mark but again no units will be built.
Those are generics players that I have seen many times, feel free to add.
The anti-turtle: The guy who has beaten you but refuses to end the game until every unit is maxed and all LP are on cool down. Said guy also sends you hate messages when you just resign.
The Elitist- The guy who worships the forums and declares anyone who doesn’t follow the monolithic metagame an idiot. You’ll know when you see them. They enjoy commenting on every other post and praising the developers for the most infinitesimal things.

There are many ways to win but having there are some noobs dogma that even levels 80+ still do. I just don’t get these.
When you play 3vs3 with random people and all they do is base collecting while you rush against 3 others it can get frustrating.
The unranked tryhard: trashtalks you when he beats you in team war.
Dude I’m not trying to win at all costs when I mass grunts with shrouds late game. I’m just goofin around. No need to be a yoink after you beat me 3v1 with your late game army…
The mad pinger - from about 3 secs into the game they start pinging every single node on the map, like you don’t know they exist. Then they start pinging your base and then the empty base directly in front of yours at about 30 secs in. These probably cross over with base collectors, they think if you’re not expoing asap with no army built you’re doing it wrong.
The leader power waster. 2 of your marines losing to 4 grunts? Restoration drones. Base being attacked by 3 flamers and 4 marines? MAC strike. Mass Air Army? Inferno/Napalm missiles.

Played with the same one 3 times. Loves sending trashtalk at the end.

People who keep pressing in the left-thumbstick over the map as if they are upset with what you and your teammate are doing. These people never seem to grasp that units take time to spawn and move, for resources to generate, and leader powers to reload.
Ran into a Pavium turret guy as a teammate. His turrets weren’t helpful when the enemy swarmed us with mass hornets and condors. Couldn’t get reavers out in time.

UNSC leaders who run Siege turrets are at least a little better
