2 frags on spam is insanely broken. The nades are clearly very strong in this game why do you need 2? Ranked isn’t skill based it’s just an explosive party. I’mma need you to bring it down to a 1 343.
Thanks

Three words, guns… grenades… melee. They aren’t OP, in general in every halo game, you will get a feel for where to move, what walls are easy to bank grenades off of, where you can stand to avoid grenades. You typically want to avoid engaging into an opponents grenades and sometimes it’s impossible to take a challenge for fear of just walking into a wall of grenades. They will either try and nade in front of you, so you will want to stop moving or back up, or they will nade in or behind you, in which case you want to push forwards. It’s a dance man.
Gonna cry if I drop down to one grenade, I still miss my 4 count from Halo 1/2
Yeah, god forbid the explosive device does damage.
Honestly, it just sounds to me like your enemies had better map control of the gear spawns and you’re being bitter about it. I swear, for once every offensive option in this game actually feels capable of doing worthwhile damage, and you guys just whine and whine about it. Cry some more.
Grenades are a core part of the combat loop. I don’t think there is spam at all - especially compared to past halos. If you find yourself on the receiving end of a lot of grenade deaths, then you might need to work on your positioning.
Is this the first halo you played? Grenade spam has been a part of halo since the beginning
Pretty sure we should only spawn with one. That way you have to make the decision of “do I use this now or save it for later, possibly when I have earned a second one from killing another player” With the current 2 nades on spawn system, there is zero reason why you should conserve them, always throw at least one, if not both on every encounter, there is a decent chance you’ll get topped up to max again after one encounter.
The explosion radius is a bit large.
I see you haven’t played a match on live fire yet. The obligatory nade dodgeball at the beginning of the game is quite the sight.
lol, sorry buddy but i have and thats definitely not the worse. Give Halo CE a try when the grenades are portable nukes in a full lobby match.
you’re complaint is null and void. constantly throwing grenades is a part of halo. always has been since the beginning. that’s why you see grenade pickups everywhere in every Halo.
I have missed have a good supply of actually effective grenades soooooo much. I for one am so happy to see them again
Did you even read what I said?
The argument that a 20 year old game was worse doesn’t make a poor gameplay decision today acceptable.
While I don’t totally agree. I think the OP has a point. A lot of Halos PvP concepts that worked 10-20 years ago aren’t going to work well with how many newer gamers are are use to modern day FPS games. As, someone who played halo way back and someone who plays modern FPS’s its something the devs, and dedicated fans of halo alike should consider if they want to keep a healthy player base.
What’s broken about it? It’s been a part of the game for 20 years. Maybe just get good?
Grenades do feel particularly effective in Infinite. They definitely got buffed since the flights. That said it doesn’t feel like there are too many overall in 4v4. But in BTB? 24 players means 42 grenades live and ready to go at the start of the game. Up to 84 when inventories fill up. Most players don’t throw too many of them but sometimes you get most of the enemy team closing in on one spot and the fireworks start flying. Maybe you should only spawn with one frag in BTB just on account of how many players there are.
Grenades have always been spammed, like melees… I love dodging grenades and telling my friends to grenade a certain wall to have control over the objective or the zone… It’s a fun mechanic.
it’s not a poor gameplay choice when it is one of the tentpole marks of the franchise. they are definitely not overpowered.
we want this and by the looks of the comments here, we love it.
Grenades have always had a major part in halo combat, you will eventually get the hang of avoiding them.
Instead of avoiding once it falls in front of you, move when you see their arm throwing the grenade gives you an extra second or two to move but they aren’t always avoidable just gotta take the L sometimes
Add player collision and the nade spamming will be less but 343 doesnt even listen to OG feedback
Grenades are just good in this game. Sorry, Chief.
