I believe 343 could really market nostalgia and also come out with six very competitive maps that work for 4v4 as well as 2v2 and 1v1.
Two map packs that would encompass the greatest maps from H2 and H3, six maps in total and very close to the exact replicas except perhaps a little bit larger. (see Salot’s remake of lockout).
Anyways I believe people would be in favor for this and it would just add a large amount of fun maps to the pool that already exists.
Personally I was thinking from Halo 2:
Sanctuary - perfect map, competitive, has been redone but forge maps get old.
Midship - similar to simplex in community forge playtest but a great map for 4v4, CTF, Bomb, and FFA.
Beaver Creek - another classic map from Halo 1 and 2 as well as Reach, very fun for king of the hill and slayer.
For Halo 3:
Guardian - a modified version of Lockout that is great for Oddball, Slayer, and FFA.
Construct - a larger map that works 4v4 that I believe would work very well with Halo 4.
The Pit - if not for Lockout I believe this map would be the greatest of all the Halo’s, just my opinion, offers great Team Snipers and 4v4 gameplay, as well as CTF of course.
I know this probably won’t happen, but I do believe these map packs would sell very quickly and people would have a lot of fun. I also believe new modes, Flood, and Extraction would work great on a few of these maps.
