So a while back I pre-ordered Halo 4. Now that they have announced the Limited Addition how do I switch my pre-order to that instead of the regular edition? (Pre-ordered from gamestop)
Also I was wondering if we get the limited edition do we not get that awesome box art? Just silver steel box? Cause I want that box art.
Not trying to be a pain, but you should NEVER pre-order a game before the editions are announced and detailed. But to answer your question(and I’ve done it before), all you have to do is tell Gamestop that you want to switch additions, and then they’ll take however much you paid on your previous order and move it to your new order, it’s painless. Also, the tin is usually just to hold all the contents. The Limited Edition copy of the game normally still comes with the regular box art on it. I hope this answered your questions.

Thank you very much! You have really helped me out. Yea I know that I should not have preordered before editions were announced but after I saw the E3 trailer back in 2011 the hype got to me and I just had to. Not the smartest choice. Thank you again and i hope your right about box art.

Well at places like gamestop they have a ton of empty boxes off to the side on display, and they so far have let me take one every time i have bought a limited edition version of a game.
Just go in and have them change it. It’s $25 to pre-order the limited edition though, not $5. I typically put down $25 on the standard edition until the limited ones are announced then I call and have them change it. They’re really lenient about it, it’s still money to them.
I’ve had this small issue many times. I even changed my money from GoW3 to ACR. If you just ask the person at gamestop to switch your credit from one game to another (in this case pre ordering the limited instead of the regular) they will just mark you as ordering the LE and you will probably have to pay like $10 to pre order the LE so if you already put $5 on the regular it will just be another $5

Ya, they let me just take one of those display cases (which is the same thing just with out the game in it) What funny is some of them actually had 48 hour codes in them.

I went up there about an hour ago after work.
Just went up to the guy and said switch it to the limited.
I now have a solid $50 on the LE.
As for box art. I don’t know. They might give you one well after the launch. You know after some people have traded it in or something. Or you could just print it and slip it inside of an extra case you have. Just a thought.
