I just have two questions…
#1. Will there be a CGB for Halo Infinite?
#2. Will there be some Dedicated Server Software?
If not I see no reason to support the game.
If those are the only things you care about I don’t see why you should support the game, period.
To answer the actual questions, your guess is as good as anyone’s, since nothing is confirmed as of now. CGB seems pretty likely as Halo 5 has it and MCC is about to get it.
I don’t know, honestly, but it does seem likely that there will be a CGB. Halo 5 and MCC both have it, so I don’t see why Halo Infinite won’t. As for dedicated servers, I couldn’t tell you.

For the simple reason. I’m not going to sit on my butt for month’s waiting to get a CGB like I have had to do for Halo MCC PC! That’s why! Which is still not available for Halo MCC PC! The other reason is that I make my own mods and maps. I never run stock maps on my server! I hope that answers your question. PERIOD!

Dedicated servers are pretty much a given since it’s aiming to be a FTP competitive shooter. People are going to go psycho if there is any sort of lag.
To repeat what everyone else has said, CGB is right now an unknown. Chances seem likely considering it’s launching on PC too, but we can’t say yes til 343 does.
Given 343’s track record with CGBs I would wager it won’t launch with it. I’m very curious as to what will be on launch, it’s been a 6 year development cycle. Anything less than what H5 currently offers will be received negatively by the community.

I see MCC as being something of a live testbed for Infinite features - part of me thinks the MCC CGB effort is specifically to develop something far more focussed on Infinite than MCC itself necessarily.
I cannot abide the negativity surrounding the CGB: the community asked, 343 are delivering, they’re refusing to launch something in a buggy state… I just don’t understand the negativity because they’re doing absolutely everything right. Sure in an ideal world MCC would have had it since 2014, but in an ideal world 2014 MCC would have been a very different animal and you have to credit 343 for the work they’ve put in to overcome that - including even bringing the game to a PC audience. The development team at 343 are passionate about delivering for the community and crucially they’re people: constantly levelling gripes and attacks at them doesn’t help - constructive criticism sure but so much of this has gone beyond constructive now that it’s just negativity.

I agree. I’m not intending to be critical or negative, just skeptical. Expecting an unconfirmed feature at launch is always a mistake.
Saying that “CGB is definitely going to be in the game, and that it’s going to work great” is a lie, not because it’s going to be untrue or I have a lack of faith in the devs but because it’s entirely rumour and speculation. There’s no credible source. I’d be doing the community a disservice by saying that.
A little skepticism while we don’t know anything about the game does everyone a lot of favours when the content is actually announced. It’d be nice at launch to see people excited about what the game does have, rather than mad about what it doesn’t.
