Two players enter, the better man wins.

Halo CE: “Two players enter, the better man wins, the lesser man is respawning.”

Halo 2: “Two players enter, the better man wins, the lesser man is respawning.”

Halo 3: “Two players enter, the better man wins, the lesser man is respawning.”

Halo Reach: “Two players enter, the better man wins, the lesser man is respawning.”

Halo 4: "Two players enter, the one with the DMR or Boltshot wins, the other man is respawning."

(Making the boltshots range lower does not stop people camping behind corners with it 343)

Nothing more needs to be said on the matter.

If a lot of people use the DMR/Boltshot combo then you should just use it too.

The sole biggest complaint about Reach was the bloom and you want to put it in the same skill category as H1, 2 and 3?

I appreciate the intent but you’ve got to be honest.

> If a lot of people use the DMR/Boltshot combo then you should just use it too.

I’d rather play Matchmaking on Legendary with the BR+Magnum than it on Easy with DMR+Bolt-scarabgun-shot.

> (Making the boltshots range lower does not stop people camping behind corners with it 343)

But it does make the boltshot less powerful.
It is the player’s responsibility to be wary of campers, not the developers job to eliminate camping from the game.

While most likely a tier lower than Halo 1-3, it still took more skill than Halo 4 does.

Also, it should look like this:

> Halo 4: "Two players enter, the one with the DMR or Boltshot wins, the other man is instantly respawning."

Correct, However it IS the developers job to analyze the effects of such a weapon as a loadout weapon. I have no issue with the weapon itself but spawning with it is lunacy.

It’s not different then everybody using the magnum, BR and DMR in previous games.

> If a lot of people use the DMR/Boltshot combo then you should just use it too.

The reason it’s so over used is because everyone had your attitude. They thought “Oh look he’s kicking everyones -Yoinks!- with the DMR/Boltshot Im now going to use it as well so that I can kick -Yoink-”. This is the attitude that most people have when playing Halo 4. Copy the person who does extremely well.

Or get really good with your fav weapon use the DMR’s weaknesses to your advantage like me

Up to Halo 3, you were right.

Halo Reach: “Two men enter, LOLBLOOM and someone randomly dies”

Please enlighten me of these weaknesses.

What are its weaknesses?

You forgot to add: “Halo 4: Two players enter, the better man usually wins, the lesser man is left respaw… or is he? No, he isn’t. He’s back and finishing off the now weaker, but still better, man.”

I wish the Boltshot would just strip Shields instead of killing… It would be come the new Noob Combo but it’s better than Shotgun on Spawn.

The only way the BoltShot should kill a person, in 1 charged shot, is if their shields are already popped.

That’s only if you spammed the trigger. I found myself pacing my shots, and I would win 95% of the time in DMR battles. Bloom was a great mechanic for the DMR, and I find myself wishing that it had stayed in Halo 4.

If they nerf the DMR then the Assault Rifle will be the most overpowered weapon. It already has a kill-time lower then that of a DMR and to stand a chance in CQ you have to nail every single shot consistently with it which isn’t easy and the noobs expect a break. It’s perfect the way it is and if you think it’s overpowered you’re either a terrible shot or are just expecting to demolish everything with a CQ weapon such as the Assault Rifle.

I have no problem dominating players in medium ranges with the BR and the DMR for long to medium ranged maps, got a problem? Learn how to play.

The bolt shot nerfing is good enough.

In all honesty I have no problems fighting against bolt shot campers. All they can do is kill me once or twice and I catch on and adapt accordingly. The dmr is a different story because even when I am aware I am not able to use a variety of weapons to counter act it. When I play doubles I have no choice but to use dmr or I’ll lose.

That’s useless. It’s more or less a short range plasma pistol then. The only problem I have with the boltshot is that it’s more powerful then some CQ power weapons such as the energy sword which should dominate it by default. If you have a problem with this weapon it’s because you’re rushing technique with either the Assault Rifle or whatever weapon you’re using isn’t working then it’s your game that needs fixing. People are able to do the same thing with Plasma grenades, although limited and if the boltshot wasn’t here then people would be using the Plasma Pistol just as much and then you would start complaining all over again.

I don’t think anyone’s stupid enough to put themselves at a disadvantage by NOT using the best possible set up. No one uses the Boltshot anymore as far as I can see, just don’t derp round corners blindly and watch your radar. If you still die you might be holding your controller upsidedown.
