Two new Helioskrill skins for the Feb Update

This is downright such a -Yoink- move by the 343 staff to allow players to get the armor by chance in the first place when the players who went through constant RNGeezus for the achievement and armor.

Now they decide to throw in two skins? Why. Maybe the original wasn’t that “Flashy” or “Pop” but for goodness sake, it’s just armor you can achieve! Something that is lost in this game, now not only will I have to play with players who get the other skins from chance, now my Helioskrill feels completely fake. I raged so hard at Truth and Reconciliation for a week, and now that’s gone. I hate Req packs and they’re the death of achievements guys. Let’s face it, 343 and Microsoft just want money now. It’s over.

I have been grinding in halo mcc on legendary and have watched hours of speed run guides and all of the rage from the stupid grunt killing you. I got to halo 3 odst and was gonna start it today but then I saw the armor in the update picture. BURN 343, you greedy a-holes who don’t listen and have ruined halo since you started this fiasco.

  2. They do look significantly different to normal helioskrill
  3. Cosmetics as status symbols is so 2007

I bought the Halo 5 console and Fotus is in the req system, it isn’t a big deal.

Helio, exclusivity, is no longer thy name. That was a yoink move.

Getting the helioskrill armor was going to be a very big thing for me, especially since I earned it solo. And the “Overall Completion” badge was going to be on the chest plate of said armor, so to say. I already have the badge, and I’ve been waiting for 343 to finish “Unlocking…” my achievement to receive the armor “I earned”. But if what I am reading is true, they can stay with the armor. I get to keep the badge.

Mellow out guys…did you not expect it? I Mean fotus was in the game to begin with…even being paired with the $500 console. And you can get that exact armor from req packs. At least this way the original will still be achievement reserved…but hell look at the old recon armor…all that work and poof they give it to everyone. Stop blaming 343 it’s gaming these days. Some people like the armor and don’t have the time to work for it. So let em pay for it…in no way does it influence gameplay which is what matters. If your playing halo for looks your playing the wrong game

So you have an extra Helioskrill and the achievements/points to prove that.

I’ll eventually do it because I love halo, but i’ll gladly take a different “variant”

I kind of agree but at the same time its my favourite helmet in any halo game ever so i am kind of looking forward to a new pattern for it. BTW so the "stf its legendary so not many people will have it anyway " is a bad justification because so many people have everything in the req systeme. Almost all of the members of the spartan company im in is over 100, i stopped playing for a month and now im classed as a low level on 79.

I didn’t know what a Helio skin was. I don’t do achievement stuff at all. But I sympathize with the OP here.

I thinks it sucks that they made variations that look cooler then the one you had to go through a lot to get. I was really looking forward for this set to be the next recon or the next haybusa katana variation. But no thrown out the door :confused: I really missed oppourtunity for a real armor set.

Yea ok I guess we’ll just let people without patience get a free pass by paying so 343 keeps doings the same crap over and over again. Also when did bungie give everyone in Halo 3 free recon?

ODST isn’t required to get Helioskrill.

I would just like to Point out that the normal Helioskrill istn locked away behind the Legnedary achivment, u can earn it also by just opening REQ packs, the achivments just serves as faster way insted of grinding through Req’s wich is a -Yoinking!- dumb idea, 343 should lock the MCC REQ’s away … we need more Exclusive unlock stuff
