The last achievement I still haven’t unlocked in Halo 3… I tried to unlock it for 5 years straight. At this point I am 100% sure that the only way to unlock it is to boost it. Anyone up for it? One problem tho. The only way to get it is in Lone Wolves playlist and everyone’s rank is different. And it’s impossible to connect with anyone out of range of 10 ranks. Aaaand I’m rank 45… and there are 50 levels overall. Any ideas?

Tried it a few weeks ago. Sent messages to 20 people, only 2 guys responded. And even they said that they got it already. Any ideas?
I would advise to post on the forums looking for a group. Sending PMs won’t get you far in my opinion.
TrueAchievements is the way to go if you really want it. I was literally in the same boat as you only needing Two For One for years. Then I joined TrueAchievements, set up my gaming session for a Friday, and had the achievement within an hour. You just really have to make sure someone really knows what they’re doing to get everyone in the same lobby.

Unpopular opinion perhaps but I really don’t get what ppl find so hard about this. It’s really not that bad of a challenge, the Extermination and the Double Grave Kill on Orbital are far, far worse achievements to complete. And don’t even try to tell me you can’t find LW games at that rank, I have plenty of friends who are 50s in the playlist and they find games daily with a few mins wait tops.

Step-by-step guide:
- Play Lone Wolves until you get a map that has a laser and an objective game mode (I think Construct is an ideal map for this but there are others)
- Grab laser immediately (should be easy, everyone will focus on the objective)
- Camp with laser until the hill/ball/whatever is in an open area with long lines of sight
- Set up your line of sight on the objective
- Wait for the inevitable zerg rush of people into the objective
- Once the zerg rush of people is all grouped together, fire the laser
- Repeat process until achievement is earned
Nice and easy. Follow this and I guarantee you will get the achievement before long. No lame af boosting required. If you still can’t even with this process it means that you’re bad with the laser and need to go to Social Slayer and improve your laser skills before trying again.

You have no idea how rare the maps with Spartan Laser are. It comes down to Construct ONLY, and it spawns at one of the bases which makes the guy who spawns there take it first. Not to mention that it is THE ONLY map with the Spartan Laser in the Lone Wolves! And there are only 3 other guys on the map. IT LITERALLY IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND BOTH OF THEM ON CONSTRUCT! It’ s a huge freaking map! I usually camp at the middle top but every time I do they fight in some other place. By the time I get there they fight at the place I was a few seconds ago. You see the pattern here? Don’t you tell me to try and get this achievement properly. I spent DAYS trying to unlock it.

I’m sorry, I really don’t wanna start a huge argument but I just don’t agree that it’s impossible to do legit. I will definitely concede it will be harder now than when the game was younger, and the fact that you aren’t finding helpful players at your rank isn’t surprising in the least. Lone Wolves is one of two still active ranked playlists, and at your level it will be filled with tryhards, ex-MLG characters and ppl who are still desperately attempting to earn their 50 ten years into the game’s life. These individuals either earned this achievement years ago or just don’t give a damn by that rank. For these same reasons I’m not surprised that you can’t even find ppl to help you boost: most ppl willing to boost will have very low ranks. I honestly think your best bet is to get good/ get lucky with the laser and keep trying.
Alternatively, you might consider deranking yourself down to the mid-30s or so. The competition will be far easier and you will start to play games with very low skilled accounts. If you care about rank you can always re-earn it once you have the achievement.

I thought about that too and I think I should. How do I de-rank myself though? Kill myself with grenades and jump off the cliff?

It’s really easy: just make sure you do badly in the games. One way to do this is to just quit out at the start of a match. If you don’t want to lose EXP, you can hide in a corner, go for kills in objective games, or you can throw grenades at yourself and jump off cliffs. As long as you finish at the bottom of the lobby you will derank very quickly.
