Before I got to play a game of Dominion at NYCC, I was able to customize load-outs and when I went through the weapons to put in my load-out I saw DMR and DMR ZB . .
In a different thread I made about a different topic, someone posted that it was just a skin.
But I think from what I saw there are 2 different DMR’s that people can put in their load-outs . .
Are there two different DMR’s ?
Probably the skin. One is normal the other one has a skin on it.

It’s a skin for the weapon. There are no two DMRs in the game.
What you saw was the orange weapon skin for the DMR, which has a separate option in the weapon menu underneath the DMR. That’s why you thought it was two separate guns but look, they are not.
I would say it’s just a different skin. The bloom on the DMR is so minuscule I doubt it would have to be taken off. However I have not played the game so this is just my opinion.

But what would the ZB stand for ?

It’s not Zero Bloom, that’s for sure.
I can’t say any further because i’ve spoiled some aspects of the MP for Halo 4. Spoilers aren’t allowed on here you see.
But i won’t leave you hanging so i ask you to consider that for the sake of balance, would it make sense to include a ZB DMR and no other guns gets some kind of special treatment to make sure loadout choices are not uneven?
Also; if there was a ZB DMR (which by there isn’t one in Halo 4) you think ANYONE would use the vanilla DMR? No one, not even the competitive sites have mentioned anything of the sort and those types of players have seen a lot of time with different builds of Halo 4 and beyond.
Conclusion: It is a skin, not a separate weapon.

I’m not sure if other guns had ZB counterparts, things were moving pretty fast, but I know for sure that there are two DMR’s.
DMR and DMR ZB . .
I feel like I’m talking about a UFO . . Like “Of course you saw two DMR’s Raptor”
I know I saw them in the weapon selection screen.
To prevent this kind of confusion, 343 REALLY needs to change it to that you select the weapon, and then the skin.
Same goes for the armor, because all this separation of armors/weapons for different skins is both cluttering, and a eye sore.

You said you’re self that things were moving fast. That’s enough to make a mistake right there and think you saw something else. I can see a girl i like driving by real fast, only to realize latter that it wasn’t because i didn’t get enough time to analyze and process the information in my correctly.
Again, what you saw for the other guns were their associated skins. Nothing more.

I understand your points, but I know I saw them . . They stood out, because of the names . . DMR was above DMR ZB . .
It wasn’t like DMR and then no DMR ZB.
I also think the ZB is Zero Bloom . . I can’t really think of what skin it would, Zebra skin maybe ?
There are several skins for almost all weapons(with Storm Rifle not having an alternate skin). However, there are no 2 different types of guns.
There’s only 1 DMR. And I do not know what the ZB means. However, the different skins do not alter the function of the DMR.
Unless 343 goofs up and accidentally does something wierd with the skins, all versions of the weapons will act the same. If there were to be a Zero Bloom, it would be a gametype option(if it is included in Halo 4 in the first place).

Zebra.

Zebra would be the best guest. ZeBra=ZB.
If you saw anything like this, this would be the DMR skin
> I also think the ZB is Zero Bloom . . I can’t really think of what skin it would, Zebra skin maybe ?
Google ZB DMR H4 and we find that you are indeed seeing a UFO. You see a UFO is an unidentified flying object. The U in UFO is the most important piece of the description because a UFO is not an alien craft, an alien craft has been identified.
You are either not listening or you are trolling, there are no 2 different DMR’s to choose from when it comes to shooting/spread mechanics. If you want a weapon with different shot characteristics to the DMR, take a Carbine or LR.

Non of the weapons I used had a skin, I don’t recall seeing that skin in the match.
Also Bloom from what I know from reading, never effected game-play, it was there as a visual aim assist.
It would expand when your shots were off target, and stay compact when you were hitting your mark.
If I’m right about Bloom, which I think I am, then having a DMR and a DMR ZB wouldn’t cause a problem.

I am going with the refusal to listen Reaper. OP seems very stubborn and not wanting to admit there are no two DMRs. Only one of the awesome variety and another with the same value but different aesthetics within the loadouts of Halo 4.
Trolling is also possibility at this point, not to sounds rude or anything but this internet…

I’m asking a legitimate question about something I saw when I played Halo 4.
I’m not trying to troll at all.

And we’ve answered this question correctly. You seem to be wanting confirmation, a “yes” answer more than a no answer. We said no, it’s a skin but you keep implying that it is, which is certainly not the case here.
There is nothing more i am going to say on this.
