Twitter or Halowaypoint?

Serious question here… do I need to post on Twitter or Halowaypoint for Devs and Community mangers to listen… It seems like if you post something on Twitter the Community managers respond to some topics… but in Halowaypoint nobody I mean nobody from 343 even responds to the posts…

I know not everyone is on Twitter due its toxicity and a lot of low iq posts there. When there was that terrible shooting in canada last year, 20 people died the rcmp only sent out an alert on twitter.

My point is why dont they post updates and stuff on waypoint? I’m frustrated they frequently post main stuff on twitter and not here.

If you’re trying to illicit a response, it should be understood that the chances of it actually happening are slim either way.

Considering that posts blatantly addressed to 343 are against COC on Waypoint, your best bet is to go through Twitter.

i think after halo 4… waypoint has been getting very toxic… not nearly as bad as twitter… u go to twitter to be insaulted not yo have serious discussion…
i will say that since infinite came out there have been far more productive conversations here then begore… not on halo 3 or reach levels… but we r getting there folks

I’m sure they read stuff here. Not every post in detail of course. But they have community managers etc who would be over it.

But it’s obvious why they wouldn’t engage in actual conversations here. The chances of the community being civil are pretty much less than zero. Way less than zero.

So if you want to post something in the hopes they read it - go for it. Here or there.

But don’t expect an answer just because you address the post to 343. And TBH, having read a few posts with titles like that, I would imagine they don’t even bother opening those ones. It’s a huge red flag.

And don’t rant about things they already know and/or have already addressed. Telling them to FIX DESYNC OR ELSE is not helpful.

Finally, as a personal plea, don’t address your concerns on “behalf of the community”. The actual Halo community is broad and complex. And whatever issue you hold to your heart is not guaranteed in anyway to have majority support.

Other than that… the best way would be to start a post that invites discussion. I’m sure the threads that hold the most interest to 343 would be the ones that explore an issue and offer sensible solutions. If I was a community manager monitoring the forums I would keep my eye out for threads with lots of engagement over a period of time.
