Recently with news of microtransactions in Infinite and job descriptions coming up with some not so consumer friendly words, fans have voiced their concerns on social media. Chris Lee responded to the former, and ske7ch the latter, pretty damn quickly I might add. Regardless of what you think of either situation, I just wanted to say I’m happy that 343i actually responded within a timely manner. It shows that they actually are listening and watching, and most importantly interacting… so now they don’t have an excuse when they mess up because we know they know what we want HAHAHA. In all seriousness though, keep up the communication and transparency, 343i, we love it.
P.S. I wasn’t really sure where to post this within the forums because the Twitter replies were regarding Infinite but this thread doesn’t necessarily focus around Infinite but rather 343i, so feel free to put it where you want, mods.
Those were consumer friendly words because everyone understands that theyre trying to find someone whos magical enough to manipulate this dying fanbase into wasting their money because they know the game cant be good enough to sell large quantities.
We as halo fans shouldnt actually care if 343 interacts with us or tweets at us when we are annoyed because its their fault we are annoyed in the first place.

then why are you here if you seem to be not a fan of the series anymore judging by your comment
Before H5, they always seemed more active before a game came out and then it died off afterwards, but I think they’re getting better during their time with H5.

im actually a big fan of the halo series ever since I played it with some friends. Im not a fan of 343 because theyve so far let us down with every game. Halo 4 tried to be a cod ripoff. Halo 5 tried to be a cod ripoff but with a little more style. MCC was a game that already was made for them but that that only recently got fixed technically after 4 year but its still not functional because of low population.
A thread like this going “hey, you are obviously trying to damage the newest experience but thank god you have a twitter account. We halo fans are grateful” just blows my mind and so i am fine responding to it and coming off as someone whos unhappy.

fair enough apparently the multiplayer lead designer for 5 left 343i after being there for 5 years

I’d appreciate it if you didn’t put words in my mouth. I don’t like microtransactions either. I merely wanted to say I’m happy they’re at least interacting instead of letting things run wild.
Communication > no communication. That states the whole point of the thread. Micros are a completely different topic which you can discuss in many other threads on this forum elsewhere.

but theyve only responded to the microtransactions to attempt minimizing the backlash from players and thats what this thread is about. If they talked about some other stuff with fans like anything related to gameplay or story then great but the only thing that theyve revealed is their dirty intentions of milking our wallets dry. This thread is praising them for that or else you really gotta edit your post

Fans voiced their concerns and they responded with what they can right now, I don’t see what’s wrong with that, even if it is damage control. I’d rather have them say something than nothing. That’s all I’m encouraging; talking.

i agree that it is better they say something, than they say nothing. however: did they really say something with that tweet?
they said no lootboxes purchasable with real money.
that can still mean for things being in the game like:
lootboxes purchasable with some kind of ingame currency (which could be purchasable… if i remember correctly assassins creed pulled that stunt with origins) - MTs aren’t out of the picture - pay2win isn’t out of the picture (although i don’t think they would be that stupid, even though warzone in h5 could be argued being pay2win already) - customizations only with money - gamemodes behind a paywall (thinking of forge as a DLC or increasing the amount of objects in forge or something) - maybe even multiplayer behind a secound paywall next to xbox live gold - [kind of every form of monetization is still in the picture]for me the tweet was just some kind of publicity to polish up the image of 343i (and -Yoink!-) and it kind of was the first step in defending upcoming MTs in the game (like: it’s no as bad as in other games). with the tweet my concerns are even higher now, bc the tweet kind of confirmed MTs already for me. (i know it didn’t dirrectly, but like i said: already the first step in defending undefendable MTs)

Read this this morning, pretty much describes how I feel at the moment. I’m not defending micros at all and very aware there can be other harmful micros even though there won’t be paid loot boxes, I’m just happy 343i at least responded, regardless of what the topics were, and I want them to keep doing so. That’s all I was trying to express.
Did Ubisoft really do that about the loot boxes? That’s insane. Sure fire way to get people to hate you, which 343i definitely does not need.

Right? Or BTB months later with forge only maps. Considering it seems they’re wanting to take this time with this one and Microsoft is seemingly letting them, we better have a full feeling game at launch.

sorry for coming off hostile. The thread does come off sounding like its good that they are talking even though they arent being truthful or theyre being too vague when 343 is clearly in the wrong and arent for the player/fans

No worries I get where you’re coming from, I felt you just misunderstood my point, was just clarifying.
