Hopped on to Twitch whilst waiting for the new event and there’s barely any viewers right now for Infinite compared to a few other games I follow.
I think it’s worrying that Halo is performing so poorly only a few months after launch.
I know Destiny has recently released the Witch Queen which might have renewed interest but it’s still a vast gulf in viewing figures. Don’t know if Fortnite and apex have had new releases lately.
I can only speak for myself when I say that watching video game streaming is about as entertaining as watching the PGA. I’ll never understand what motivates people to watch it. I would much rather play.
I mean what is there to watch? Ranked on the same 4 maps?
Forge is basically this game’s only hope for twitch aside from big HCS events.

Seems to be a pretty common sentiment. The AZ tournament this weekend had a pretty good view ship… up until the like 3rd day and the finals… you know after everyone had claimed their free emblem… it had less than 500 viewers.
I get the feeling that the popularity of game steaming has come and gone.
Wow, really? Definitely proves a lot of people are just there for the drops then if the actual final has a lot less views
I’m spit balling here but I believe that 95% of the people watching HCS are there only for the drops i.e., 2nd screen muted and minimized or smartphone lying around somewhere.
You know what I find quite funny? That 343 and Halo Infinite have very likely helped contribute to the popularity surge in Destiny and their predecessor rival Bungie with their abysmal handling of Infinite.
Dr. Disrespect was 100% correct in terms of Halo needing a BR mode for viewership.
I don’t know abbout the other games, but Halo’s playerbase is overwhelmingly in Europe and the USA (mostly the latter) and you are looking at numbers when it’s still afternoon in Europe (people at work or school) and morning in the USA. Most popular Halo-streamers are not streaming yet at that time.
That said Halo also has the problem that the game is realy not efficient on pc, so streamers on pc often can’t even stream halo since that would either crash the game or make it realy laggy and also mess up their streams.
Nah, it just needed to work and be fairly playable. Unfortunately the fact its a broken mess negates how playable it is when it (on the very odd occasion) actually works.
In population numbers and overall written/verbal reception sure.

Infinite is slowly dying, and adding 2 maps is not going to help the game one bit. Personally, I believe infinite has one of the worst leadership out to date.
It’s like naughty dog that literally destroyed The last of us part 2. I don’t care about options on the matter because I already know why. It’s just the simple fact that 343 higher-ups destroyed Halo and they all should be demoted, maybe clean the toilets, can’t go to wrong with that.
I couldn’t agree more! I love watching highlights (even golf, and I’m not a big golf guy) but that’s it. Sure I can maybe understand a tournament or something but just Joe blow or some pretty girl sitting there in a chair playing some game and people watching them… I don’t get it and I will never get it. I guess that’s a thing with today’s generation. Just like the whole they seem to accept broken unfinished games A lot easier than us older players.

I disagree massively. Halo doesn’t need a BR mode to be popular or to survive.
Halo infinite needed to be a complete game at launch! Having things like a experience progression system, a legitimate customization features, campaign co-op, an ODST firefight mode (Will it ever come? who knows but it bloody should As fans have been asking for it since, well ODST!!) weather elements in campaign, more than one ranked playlist and forge (especially forge… And I’m not a big forge guy but I know how popular it is) would make a HUGE difference! Trust me!

Yes, he said that. But it’s from an unnamed source and Act Man’s popularity depends a lot on Halo so he wouldn’t want to say otherwise. I believe he’s truthful because he seems that way, been following him for years, but who really knows how truthful his “source” is being. No way to confirm, since xbox won’t release numbers.
