Hey,
I did not see a post on this, but wanted to make one for everyone in the same boat as me.
Recently they offered a Grassroots stream with a returning twitch reward the Victory Shout pos as earnable on 5/21. Like others, after watching the stream for one hour, we noticed that the reward was not not claiming properly on the Halowaypoint rewards history section. After unlinking and relinking Twitch and Halowaypoint connection, I noticed that my reward claimed in twitch, but still did not successfully register in waypoint.
Furthermore, I noticed that my twitch linked name is showing as … In waypoint. I also tested creating a new twitch account and attempt we d to link that one and still received the name pairing issue (… username instead of twitch name in Halowaypoint) This makes me think that there is a service broken on the 343 Microsoft end of the house as twitch is properly recording the 343 connection and logging a successful access time in their gui.
If anyone else has experienced this issue, please post here. I am hoping this is the same issue they had back in season one where they were able to fix the connection and grant the rewards afterwards. I am not sure if this affected everyone or just a small subset of users, but without awareness, I am not sure 343 will know there is an existing API integration issue between waypoint and twitch.

I’m experiencing the exact same issue, word for word.

lol good luck getting them to pass the message along to devs. Ive been trying to get Halo Support to realize this for days but they keep telling me they cant do anything. Even thought this exact same issues happened back in January. My original message I sent to Halo Support stated I have already tried everything in their article about troubleshooting linking Twitch accounts and its not working and yet they still suggested to me TWICE that I try to do everything in that article. I even linked them posts on this forum and reddit about how this is affecting other people who have tried everything in that article and its still not working. I honestly have no idea how to make it any clearer to them.

Same issue here. By now I’d be curious to know if there are people where it did work properly?
Anyway, I also have a ticket open with Support and they did say that all they could do was forward it to the Devs if I gave them screenshots of the history on both Twitch and Waypoint. Did that and haven’t heard anything back since.
This weekend there are drops again (although I already have the Items that HaloEurope is having in their drops). Will be interesting to see if they run into the same issue as we have.

This issue also happened during the first HCS event. I’m not sure if it is the same exact bug, but before it was some sort of link problem between Twitch and Waypoint accounts. I had to unlink both accounts and relink them again properly until the “…” went away and my gamertag was in that spot. Until you see the gamertag you use in that spot, you will not immediately claim your drops.
The drops I did claim, I thought I had lost them but then one day I randomly checked and noticed I had them unlocked. Some random update must have fixed it?

I didn’t get the vehicle colors and other stuff at end of April event, I guess. I thought is my issue only. I just noticed I linked my twitch and HaloWaypoint account after I get the drops. But back then I’ve read other had this issue…

Halo Waypoint’s system has been broken since the Zeta Sky pre-order bonuses went live. They have not said anything since then. They have not said anything for previous twitch prime drops. They have not said anything when the OPI coatings were messed up .If they say anything now, I would be shocked.

Thing is: the accounts were set up fine because I was able to claim drops for months with no issue. And without changing anything there it seems the connection broke. Only after it stopped working I tried to set it up anew and that is not working and only leading to the “…” issue.
So if it worked before and I didn’t change anything something in the backend (either on 343’s side or Twitch’s side) must have changed. And given that the issue popped up for lots of people at once it means that it’s not something to do with my account specifically.
PS: I just looked into the Developer Documentation for Twitch Drops on Twitch: https://dev.twitch.tv/docs/drops/#prerequisites-and-setup If I read this correctly then Twitch sends a message to Waypoint (via webhook) when someone claims a Drop. Based on that Waypoint is then supposed to redeem it and set the fulfillment_status on Twitch to FULFILLED. To me this looks like they are setting the state of the Drop but not granting it in-game. The state on Twitch should not change without a callback from Waypoint which leads me to the conclusion that this is getting lost somewhere on 343’s side during processing.

Oh man, after I read your post, I went to check and make sure my accounts were still linked lol, just incase (luckily, everything is good for now, phew). That is very inconvenient that this issue can pop up with or without an already linked account.

I’m waiting for Twitch drops from today to show in my redeem list on Halowaypoint, but I don’t want to risk unlinking if I cannot relink properly.

I have this problem, my Victory Shout Pose hasn’t shown up in game or on my redemption page in Halowaypoint but has been claimed fine in Twitch after last weekends drop. All previous Halo twitch drops have previously shown up in game but not this. Not happy as was really looking forward to getting it. Please fix this!!!

Same here!!! I got it on Twitch claimed it and I have claimed every single one. But then Victory Shout is not showing. I did the same you did. Link and re- link even with a new account and nothing. This needs to Get MORE ATTENTION otherwise they will not fix it. I sent a tickets and they practically said they can’t do anything about it. Have you find a solution yet??

Update - I unlinked my twitch account in Halowaypoint and now it’s just showing “…” where previously it showed my Twitch username. Damn it. Can’t get my username back now so I’m well screwed.

This needs to be fixed, this happened back in December as well. Now I can’t receive any new twitch drops as my twitch username is showing as “…”.

Still broken for me as well. I have been trying to link and unlink with new accounts over the past few weeks. Someone needs to reboot the servers or check on the certificates on the Microsoft/343 side of the house.
