In Australia there are certain playlist we can’t even find a single game in Warzone Assault and even Breakout. 343, you need to turn off Region lock in Australia/Oceania. We can hardly find games and i haven’t played a Warzone assault game since the second update that came out. 343 PLEASE turn off region lock in Australia so we can actually find games and enjoy Halo 5!!!

No it hasn’t sir, it was only removed for EU players, i can still not find games in Warzone Assault!
I’m pretty sure it hasn’t been lifted here in Australia. I still can’t get games in Assault, FFA, Breakout. Swat searching time takes forever but do eventually find one.
Yeah, it hasn’t been lifted in Australia. It’s a shame, I love this game but I can’t play it because I live in Australia.
Definitely appears to have been lifted as of April 21st. The telltale giveaway is the red exclamation mark next to Free for All with message “Your connection has high latency to the dedicated server.” 
As for Slayer/Arena, definitely hearing some American accents come through, and a noticeable additional split second of lag throughout some games.
I’m on NBN and didn’t have much of an issue finding games any time (as long as I stuck to Slayer, Arena, Swat and Warzone), but if this is the small price to pay to keep the community alive, I’m all for it.
Why the hell would you want region lock off??? You do realize Australia being a continent with a small popular is going to be matched against the northern hemisphere??? Enjoy your 300ms+ latency delay because I’m certainly not!

Even without region lock the latency in Australia is around 100-200 normally anyways. I see no difference with how it is now apart from the occasional lag and its nice to get BTB games finally.

holy crap what a load of unplayable servers.
The only reason you can’t find breakout matches is cuz no-one in AUS is playing breakout. And as for Warzone Assault I don’t know what you’re talking about; I have to wait 2 minutes to find a match… You’re just impatient…
I’m kinda glad they took off region lock for Australia. I’m actually able to find games in FFA now.

Haha, nah I’m good with the region lock… I can deal with 20-300ms ping but I’d rather my completely stable 10-50 in Oceania servers
and also, if you’re lagging excursor chances are it’s probably you…
pls no more region lock except for Team Arena.
I think they have done it was able to play BTB and breakout all afternoon which never happens

dude dont even try to say its on my end. we have a 4000 post long thread going on the subject. A basic understanding of physics and a signal that has to travel that far back and forth leaves to mucho latency and the following crappy gameplay.
Region lock gone is hell. I understand you want to find more games, but it gone isnt the preferable solution. server choice is. better to wait until then. Instead of 343i dumb decision to remove it for EU and force crap gameplay onto everyone.
I hope it will never be lifted. If I am connected to Australian players in any game the lag is unbelievable.

Before Region lock was lifted last week, i wasn’t able to find a Warzone assault game at all, we waited so long that it gave us an error saying Unable to match. Thank god it’s gone

if I stick to popular modes I was fine and had no lag. Now that’s its off the games is unplayable.for me.
