Turn off Music

I know the games not out yet which is why this is a perfect time to discuss this!

I know the game is going to sound great but sooner or later I’m going to be sick of the games music and just want to fire up Spottily and listen to instead of the games soundtrack. Sure you can do this on MCC but you end getting the game music, your music, and the sound effects and it all starts sounding bad/weird.

So anyone else want to see an option to turn off the music?

This is something I wish we could do in H5 (as far as I know you can’t turn off the music in H5 without just muting the whole game). There are a few moments in H5 where old soundtracks actually fit well, and I wish I could play H5 with an old OST playing in the background.

yeah I’ve posted about this on the MCC thread but it never seems to stay up on the front page very long, probably since there’s not much to say.

In HCE/H3, it used to be possible to let the music die out on it’s own by waiting long enough before progressing through the level, but a simple option to turn off music in the settings would be sufficient. Or at the very least, kill the loop. Some of us just want to enjoy the level’s atmosphere/ambiance.

Well, this is heresy if I ever saw it.

It’s not heresy to say I will play the game so much (hopefully) that eventually I will want to have my own soundtrack.

While it’s something I would personally never use, I feel like you can never have too many options in a game

Halo has some of the most epic music of any video game of all time. The music in Halo enhances gameplay! Why would you WANT to turn that off?

That being said, it could be an option for people I have serious doubts on their level of fandom.

It’s quite simple I’ve been playing Halo since it came out on Xbox Original.

Fan or not I don’t see why people shouldn’t have the option of turning it off. It can’t be that big of a deal to put in slider. So maybe I’m playing a level for the 100th this year and would like to listen to a little music, why shouldn’t I have that option?

My Gamer tag references chief. I’ve read many of the books and have owned every Halo FPS to date including on PC and Halo wars for 2 days (That’s how long it took me to beat it) . I even had the Halo games on my Surface. I’ve also watched the movies on Netflix and saw of the stuff here on Waypoint

And Yeah sometimes I would still like to turn off the epic music and put on a little ??? and play the game.

Does that give me fandom rights give the right to ask for something that original Xbox introduced?
