Turn off join in progress

When are we finally going to get the option to turn off such an annoying “feature”? I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been added to a game only for it to end within a minute of me spawning. We should have the ability to opt out of join in progress.

You are talking about warzone right?

Completely disagree, I am sure you have team mates drop out of your game and the join in progress keeps the games even and fair.

All they need to do is do what Titanfall did and all will be better, if you join a game in progress that past a certain amount of time it doesn’t count as a loss on your record.

I also disagree, people hate being farmed in warzone and they tend to quit if they have no chance of winning, join in progress allows us to farm the entire 20 minutes without having to end the game

This.

I bet someone is going to hate on you for farming.

Happens in arena as well, mostly BTB but that’s my most played playlist.

Implement a Halo 3 style system, people rarely quit back then.

I would love to play a more Invasion-like Warzone without reqs and with vehicle/weapon spawns. A lot less people would quit because of game imbalance.

I’d rather get stuck in a loosing game and have to sit it out until the next ones starts than deal with the crappy way Halo used to play out every game, with one team down a few men and getting spawn trapped until the timer ends.

It was much rarer back then for people to quit, join in progress makes people quit more. I’d much rather have the old system than this new one.

Warzone isn’t ranked, I don’t see the issue here.

You do. Play ranked Arena, it’s not there. I’m ok with its inclusion in Social Arena and Warzone.

Ranking doesn’t matter, it’s just annoying to thrown into a one sided game that, 9 times out 10, will end within a couple minutes of joining.

That’s not opting out entirely, I want to be able to turn it off no matter what playlist I’m in.

Its on the social playlists only, as it should be.

When you are put in to a game in progress, it’s trying to make the game better for the other 23 people in there, rather than just pandering to you.

As I’ve already said, the join in progress system is at fault for a decent chunk of quitting. It would help out everyone more to not have it, but I doubt that’s going to change so I’m asking for an option to opt out of it.

Yeah right, rarer. Can’t tell you how many games of BTB on Coag were ruined by -Yoinks!- quitting out leaving you to get destroyed by vehicles as you desperately try to escape your spawn. Quitting has ALWAYS been a problem in Halo, one that makes the game way less enjoyable. I’d rather join a loosing team and play than sit there watching my screen explode for twelve minuets because someone thought JIP was a bad idea.

And the problem is much worse now that JiP is a thing. I’ll take the occasional left player with the old system, it was a much rarer occurrence even if it was still a problem, and you don’t have to deal with joining a game in progress that is just a slaughter fest of imbalance.

Okay, so someone quits, okay? Then, someone joins. But then they quit again.

So you’re back to where you were when someone quit in the first place. Aaaaand…I don’t see how JIP is responsible.

Join in progress makes quitting carry less weight, the player thinks “Oh, I’ll just be replaced” and quits without a second thought. They try to counterbalance this with the quit ban, but it’s just not enough convince people not to quit when the odds are stacked against them. The original point though, was my issue of being thrown into games that are either entirely unbalanced or about to end.
