Halo: Reach had betrayal booting turned off in Grifball because it is easy to do on accident in grifball and happens often. I’ve been BANNED today because of a bunch of accidental betrayals. A better solution, which prevents griefing and unfair bans is that 343 turns off friendly fire in Grifball! This needs to happen! Halo 5 grifball rocks… but it is terrible, broken, and no longer fun with friendly fire on!

A better solution would be turning off betrayal booting.
I don’t want a situation where teammates can launch other teammates around the map with impunity, frankly. In addition to there being quite a few strategies in the mode that only work with Friendly Fire on (like killing teammates so they spawn back on defense)
Turning off betrayal booting is the best option.
There’s a very simple solution to this.
Make use of that radar.
Tada! No betraying.
Turn of betrayal booting, not team killing. Turning off team killing would take away from Grifball.

Agreed, it should removed, it’s way too easy for a team-mate to start betraying on purpose then the game easily be about farming spawn kills.

I believe I’m doing fine.
Please turn this off. I love Grifball but man, its easy to accidentally hammer down and a team member is in the way. Its a fast moving game and hesitation is what causes you to lose…

its canonical and prevents rocketing which would make games boring

I hope you’re just saying that to make a point. Betrayals are the worst. I don’t want to rack up a ton of deaths, and I also don’t want a teammate who doesn’t have any control with his hammer. If you can’t have enough control to not kill teammates (save the actually unavoidable instances of course) than you’re probably not that great in the first place.
If only u could be booted if the system was able to detect that you were intentionally and repeatedley betraying teammates
Ive stopped playing for like 4 months is getting kicked still a problem, i played a match of griffball team killed maybe one or twice but my teammates kille me like 3-4 times? But i didint get the boot this guy option is it fixed in that aspect or if they killed me more i could have booted them
