Turn off banning for quitting Big Team Battle

Please turn off quit banning for Big Team Battle; players should not be penalized for leaving game-types they don’t want to play, simply because you have yet to implement playlists allowing players to choose the kinds of games they want to play. Also, matches in Big Team Battle go on for far too long on average than what should be considered reasonable; banning people for quitting them is utterly ridiculous.

In other words, put a rush on the Match Composer for Infinite. While you’re at it, implement filtering by Platform & Input type, so people don’t have to cross-play with PC players. It’s getting tiresome having to block them manually.

Stop quitting. Easy as that.

People like you should get matched with other quitters.

Remove something that protects the game integrity and enjoyment for 15 other players so that you can quit more. It’s a new one.

Quit bans do almost nothing to protect game integrity. MCC has one of the most harsh quit ban systems I have seen in a casual game, and it’s filled with players who quit or go AFK or play but troll their team in BTB on maps/modes they do not want to play.

Quit bans in practice attack a symptom but ignore the problem.

There should be a match composer, and there should be a veto system like halo 3 had. I dislike the voting system but even that would be much better.

I don’t care about the enjoyment of 15 other players, if I get matched into a game-type I didn’t willingly choose to participate in; simultaneously, I shouldn’t be punished for leaving that game. We get matched into games randomly at present, so the system creates its own problem.

I would think (‘hope’ maybe better) a match composer is in the works, as yes that will obviously reduce quitters.

That does not mean you should remove quit bans. The two things work side-by-side.

I take your point that whilst there isn’t a choice in game-type, it is annoying getting stuck in a game you don’t want to play. Let’s hope that changes ASAP.

I think removing quit bans and implementing join in progress is the far superior solution.

It literally does nothing besides stopping people from playing lol

Wait you get banned for quitting matches? Can someone explain this? If they don’t want me to quit, let me choose game type or don’t give me 3 capture the flag challenges and no other way to progress the battle pass I paid for during your “beta”.

Seriously 343 is getting on my nerves a bit with these wacked out systems. The sad thing is I’m starting to believe 343 knows exactly what they are doing and made everything the way it is on purpose for nefarious reasons.

I didn’t realize there were quit bans and I thought there was join in progress.

???

Why are there quit bans if there is join in progress?

How many games did you quit before you got banned?

How long was your ban?

(Asking for a friend)

I really can’t blame people for quitting games right now

There are mode-specific challenges that people are trying to complete that require a certain mode that they can’t queue for in a seperate playlists, the whole progression system promotes behavior such as this, leaving games to find the right mode, going AFK to farm the current 50xp per game challenge

This whole system is broken, match XP is needed.

Completely agree. The current system is probably the largest cause why people quit to begin with, besides, most challenges are tied or best obtainable in BTB since they enforce PvP matches or specific weapons/vehicles.

This right here is why no one cares about your opinion at all.

Idk man. I’m sure not playing halo so other people can enjoy it lol. I’m playing so that I can enjoy it. And getting three CTF games back to back on fragmentation with braindead teammates just isn’t enjoyable. I’d quit that -Yoink!- too and not feel bad about it for even one second.

there is a join in progress system

How do team oriented games work if people quit out of them all the time? I’m sure you have a lot of fun when people leave your games and your suddenly getting stomped by the other team. Do you enjoy those situations?

Band-aid fix at best, usually doesn’t fix the problem fast enough to make a difference. Usually turns the game into a revolving door for people who get picked to “fix” the problem too, as they’re most likely just going to quit once they see they were picked to fix a game where a spoiled brat left.

I’m with you, I instant quit Stockpile (the worst game mode in Halo history) anytime its loaded up. I had no idea you could get banned for quitting social playlists lmao.
