I play a lot of halo 5 and some times i get banned for suiciding by accident to many times or the same thing but with friendly fire, and i can’t play for about normally anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, in my opinion they should just turn friendly fire off, what do you think?
Mod edit: gave topic a more descriptive title
I like friendly fire because it’s more realistic and people can’t just spam shots or grenades. They actually have to worry about their team. Just make sure you’re shooting the right person and don’t throw nades into rooms your teammates are in.
Whoa, you can get banned for suiciding? That must be a frakin’ lot of suicides. No, just no. You need to change your gameplay a bit not have the game change so you can continue to play carelessly.
I don’t mind friendly fire, but sometimes it really annoys me. Last night, I got betrayed twice on purpose for no reason at all in two different games.
Rather keep friendly fire on so players need to act carefully when throwing nades or where they’re shooting at. I understand the annoyance of teammates randomly TKing their fellow man because he/she has that power weapon.
i prefer to keep friendly fire on. even in social. people should at least think a little bit before shooting. usually you deal less damage anyway to teammates and thanks to aim assist it’s harder to hit teammates too, so the propability of an accidental tk is very low anyway.
I think it’s a bit sad, that so many games feel the need of turning of friendly fire
Thanks for the advice, when i was banned for suicide, i only accidentally killed my self only three times by rockets or falling of the map, then there was the ban.

IF you lived in a world where teammates actually gave a frak. Which, they do not 97% of the time (random number, seems fitting). I loved friendly fire in game like Counter-Strike. Here, it seems more of a griefing tool than anything else. Got that sniper before Bob? Team Kill. Got that rocket launcher kill before Tim? Get run over. Got active cammo? Watch three nades come from YOUR team to sight you out. I have seen so much crap with FF, I think it should be sidelined in social.

If it were off, they couldn’t kill you to steal it in the first place.

Maybe I’m confused. If it’s off that means teammates can’t kill you?

It’s supposed to. It’s off in some modes, like Super Fiesta.

Okay… I was thinking just the opposite. Well hells bells turn it off in WZ then. I get nadded and run over constantly… lol
I like it on purely because it’s been a thing in halo since forever. I think it was off in halo 4 and it felt weird to me. Granted it’s not a big thing it’s just a preference that I would like to stay. Besides I love screwing around with friends if they took it away it wouldn’t be a giant problem but it would take that enjoyment away

It is off in WZ with the exception of vehicles. Your teammates cannot damage you with grenades.
That works for me. Every other game I play I get nadded right at the start by over zealous knuckle heads throwing grenades when going to capture the first base controlled by the AI…lol
