TU with Assault Rifle starts, perhaps?

I just thought of this while playing, well… TU! I always felt that the DMR was a little over-powered, since it had so much more accuracy over long ranges. That and when you play TU, the DMR owns everything, such as Assault Rifles, Spikers, Plasma Rifles, Plasma Repeaters and probably something else I overlooked.

So, I thought that Assault Rifle starts would be good (Not all the time, but a bit more common) and you would then have to fight and work up towards the DMR or Needle Rifle. Now, that’s my kind of competition! Fighting for the superior weapon instead of starting with it. It’s more challenging, IMO.

Thoughts?

Fighting with your opponents for the DMR or NR? More like fighting with your team mates. Also, once the other team has all the precision weapons are going to enjoy being stuck in your base getting spawn killed because your weapons are useless past mid range?

And no, I would cry.

Unless 343i are willing to look into headshot capable weapon balance (or if people are willing to look into different settings that does the same thing) then these weapons will always be OP compared to the other weapons of the sandbox and the only solution would be to create a gametype that doen’t have the DMR, Magnum or Needle Rifle available on the map or in loudouts.

…although Team Hotshot seems to have balanced the overall game. Haven’t played enough to get a decent handle of the gametype. It’s hard to select this gametype in a low populated playlist that would prefer hitting balls with golf clubs.
