I love that Squad, Objective and Multi team are getting the TU treatment, but I think 85% bloom should be a part of that.
Switching between Regular, ZB and Anniversary gametypes takes some adjustment but kinda makes sense seeing as they’re distinct variant sets with different play styles. Switching between 100% and 85% bloom, however, just feels awkward and unnecessary. I think that 85% isn’t just better for certain applications, it’s better overall, and 100% just seems kinda redundant now, using the DMR in Squad still feels like wading through treacle compared to the speedy game going on around me.
343 themselves said that 85% is the “sweet spot” for bloom, so why isn’t it being utilised much? And why are two similar but still distinct, and thus a little confusing, bloom settings being kept side by side? I say go the whole hog and include 85% wherever TU settings are used, potentially even across the whole game (anywhere that 100% is currently being used).
Maybe they’re saving it for Halo 4? I thought the TU matchmaking setting did include 85% bloom

Lol happens to us all. I would expect the updates to go live on Dec 5th. They always happen on Tuesdays for some reason.

I’m thanking you for your mature and respectful response to this thread. It’s encouraging to see someone get honest responses and no ridicule for honest mistakes.
