TU and Vehicles.

The Upcoming Title update NEEDS to include some changes to the vehicle’s resistance.

This will only apply to playlists that are in anniversary. Below you will see some of my simple suggestions to beef up vehicle health whilst still keeping balance.

First off, Infantry weapons (DMRs, NRs) should not wreck vehicle, nor should a Sniper Rifle. This is not fair especially for the sniper rifle because their is no way of dodging it, and if you manage to dodge one bullet, more will be coming their way, and 70% of the time the sniper will not be at a distance where you can take him out before he does to you. This applies even to extremely maneuverable vehicles like the banshee and ghost and even sometimes to accurate vehicles like the gauss warthog and tank.

This ruined vehicles like: The Ghost, The Banshee, The wraith, The Warthogs, The Mongoose, The revenant, and the Falcon.

The Solution: Bring back the way vehicles were damaged in Halo 3 and Halo 2. I believe, (and Please correct me if I’m wrong) that the only way that any infantry weapon or sniper could deal damage to a vehicle is if the driver/gunner/passenger were hit dead on, or if the shields of the driver were down, THEN damage would start being delt to the vehicle. The only effective way of taking out a vehicle was with a missile pod, halo 2 rocket launcher, Splaser, or some other explosive device, which is how a vehicle should be taken out.

Second: The both UP and OP banshee.
Pros: extremely powerful FRG bomb with large splash damage, Fast trick maneuvers and barrel rolls, lock on to vehicles. can EASILY dodge incoming locked on rockets or plasma launcher shots.
Cons: destroyed easily by DMRs(fix’d by above solution;)
Solution: either slow down the barrel rolls, or make rockets and plasma launchers home in on banshees better so that players will need to time their barrel rolls once again.

What do you guys think? Shouldn’t this be in option for indestructible vehicles? it will say "Indestrucible vehicles: [Extra durabiltiy(the above)] [Normal(current Halo reach)] and [Indestrucible]

You bring up a great point. I am not saying I agree 100% with all your changes but changes to vehicles would be nice if they are trying to create a more 'Classic" feel. I hope the subject of Vehicles gets mentioned and explained on Sunday.

…and that would make me sad :frowning:

I agree, take away individual vehicle health and put back in Driver/Vehicle health. One should not be able to make a vehicle explode if the driver is full shields and health.

Oh warthog… I remember when a Rocket launcher was what it took to topple you over. Now a pistol will destroy you.

I love hoggin’ since Halo CE but in reach, you barely have no chance…
But this is also because of the lack of great big team warthog maps (highlands is awesome) but I think headlong and timberlands will bring some big team action glory back

Sniper Rifle is Armor Piercing…It should wreck vehicles. DMR isnt Armor Piercing it shouldnt damage vehicles. As for the NR HAHAHA it doesnt damage vehicles at all. Banshee is fine as is. But if they made the DMR not be able to hurt it then yah reduce the flipping time. (I dont like to flip anyway I always flip into a wall or roof and half kill myself lol)
