TTK too fast?!!!

Im enjoying the hell out of the beta but i feel as if i’m too weak on the game Am i the only one who feels this way? the time to kill someone is so quick, more health ffs.

Compared to other halo games the health seems really low. I feel to squishy on the feel, i’m like one of the marines in the campaign.

This is one of the things I agree with. TTK seems really quick at times.

I agree, it seems they’ve nerfed the shield system in order to balance the game somewhat

time to kill is to low. if you hit someone with a nade its like 3 shots

Im glad im not the only one who feels this. i just played some halo 2 and i felt like i have so much more health and time to react. Its a lot of fun though, just might need some balance issues

Yeah I really think it’s far too low.

2v1 engagements would be much more satisfying and intense if Spartans didn’t drop like flies, or dare I say it, someone from CoD.

Agreed, there was no feeling more satisfying then taking out an entire team solo in previous halo games purely because you were a better player, if I got shot from behind I had so many options at my disposal, turn, jump, toss grenade, drop bubble sheild then melee, now I feel like it’s a game of hiding-go-seek and who ever spots whoever first is 80% of the time going to be the victor of that encounter.

I hope they fix this because it is my only major gripe with halo 5 atm, the much higher TTK of previous Halo’s to me personally is what set it apart from all the military shooters available, its a game of skill and quick thinking, if I got 50% of my health dropped I would still have enough time and health left to turn a fight in my favour IF I played smart and used my abilities and the environment to my advantage, which makes the game about skilled plays instead of lucky first spots.

If you are a better player then I am and I first engage you and get a few shots off before you even know I am there you can still turn the fight around and win the encounter by skill.

Please 343, you guys are doing a great job just please make the TTK as high as it used to be.

The kill times are so fast because the Rate of Fire on all the weapons where increased from the previous Halos. I agree there a little fast.

Agreed. It is due to the rate of fire and for more experienced players who are more in control of the surroundings and their weapons that is definitely a big plus. However shield / health recharge should also be a little faster and proportionate to the TTK in order even out the battlefield for the semi-pros who are battling against pros.

As once you are caught in between two or more well experienced players without the assistance / backup / distraction of your team mates and assuming you are good at strafing and fighting back 1v1 and did not get a headshot immediately, you still do not stand a chance as being under constant fire is also incapacitating. Just a mere observation. Ranked matches may iron out these wrinkles anyway.

Oh by the way I have to say Guardians MP Beta is like a breath of fresh air after the MCC MP frustration in my opinion. It is a hell of a comeback for 343 even at this beta phase. Can’t wait to play the full release. Kudos!

I think it varies per weapon. The BR 4 shotting has been in since Halo 2 IIRC but other weapons tend to change. The pistol requiring 9 shots if the last is to the head maybe fine for a slower time to kill but other weapons tear people apart faster.

I believe this is the main issue with Halo 5 Guardian that kill time are too short all of the complaints about weapons being overpowered, I believe if we solve this problem all the weapons will balance out perfectly and even maybe the grenades but as of right now I’m against grenade power but that’s another topic they should just increase the shield health and main health enough to were all precision weapons can still do their reputable headshots count.

Glad to see this isn’t just me. Im enjoying the hell out of this beta and breakout is such an awesome intense mode. But like someone stated previously is that you’re not as likely to survive more than one players now. Not that it isn’t possible but that its way more difficult. But if thats the way 343 is moving to i guess you just have to adapt towards it. Teamwork is way more evident in this Halo (If i recall correctly) compared to the other Halos. Your team is going to win if you stick together and fight them together. once again though awesome beta so far…

I agree as strongly as possible with this. I feel like with such limited health pools it really lowers the skill gap and makes it more like CoD where you just run around and spray to get kills. The way my friends and I always justified liking Halo more than CoD was that Halo takes more skill and that if you start getting shot in the back you could do X,Y, or Z but in CoD you can be a noob, still get the first few shots in, and usually win the duel regardless of skill gap because the time to kill is so low in CoD.

ttk is so low to balance sprint being in the game.
If the ttk was more like older halos people would be able to sprint away more efficiently.

My personal opinion: ttk needs to be longer. Sprint gone. And base movement 120%

4 headshots with a BR. Thats same as it’s always been

I like it. Its probably the only thing they actually brought back from the hce/h2 days
