either that or player movement needs to be slowed down for the next halo. When this game first came out i feel like the weapon sand box before the update used to compensate for the fast movement with slower TTK. Now it feels like ever since the weapon tuning update the TTK has been slowed down and player movement is too fast especially with the already non existent radar and spartan charge but thats a whole other topic. I just feel like this game was somewhat more balanced before the updates now its a mess with some of the engagements especially when shots don’t register…
Maybe it’s just me, but it seems like weapon tuning is always done to benefit the most skilled players. They think less-than-average players either won’t know or won’t care about the changes they make, but just because I don’t read every weekly update doesn’t mean I don’t know when something’s been changed. And it never seems to change for the better. Because in recon world harder does not equal better. Ever.
The best solution for me would be both things: get rid of thrust so I don’t feel like I’m trying to swat at flies, and maybe, just maybe, they could consider building a weapon sandbox with a purpose besides differentiating between high diamond and low onyx players.
Thrust is honestly a get out of jail free card. If you wander out in the open, tkae a few bursts from a BR, all you need to do is thrust right or left and you’re safe.
I feel the TTK is extremely quick, one wrong step into a 2 v 1 situation & you are done before you can blink especially with some perfects being 1.5sec or less.
Yeah thrust & sprint are abused a bit in running away from fights, but what ya gonna do. I enjoy the throwback playlists a lot due to these being removed.
Edit: I didn’t play for the first 2 years tho so I can’t compare to how TTK was at the beginning.
Slow TTK has been an issue dating all the way back to Halo 2. I very much doubt it will change.
The only way we’re going to get a fast TTK is if 343 made the weapons require some decent skill to use and we know that’s never happening. Counter Strike would be an example of that because the weapons kill fast, but it takes some decent skill to actually do it.

Honestly add the DMR into the equation and everything turns into E=MC^2

Until you play against decent players, then you actually have to think about where you thrust. Always gotta have the escape route planned and know where to go in the situation. Thrust is essentially your life-line in this game, like sword cancelling was for me in H2.
What is ttk?

Just annoying to go from H3 or Reach where if you started shooting at someone who was in an open field, you would kill them every time. Now people can just thrust away

Especially if they’re calling out, good luck escaping from jail.
