TTK feel really fast to anyone else?

I feel like I can’t survive more than 2 seconds unless I camp in this game. Way more than any other Halo, I get melted like ice before I even know I’m getting shot. And it’s not just the AR being strong; it’s all weapons. I feel like you just die so fast in this.

I also checked and the recharge delay is longer in this than almost all the other Halo games. Plus, grenades are bouncier and have a larger blast radius than most past games. No wonder every time I take any damage I get killed before my shield can start coming back.

Yeah definitely faster than halo 3.

Aozolai did a comparison during the flight and the BR has the same kill time as in Halo 3.

I think the issue stems from have a shorter radar so you have barely any reaction time when someone jumps you.

That or you’re getting teamed on, which is most likely.

Yes. If someone sees you from behind you lose the engagement. It’s very annoying, especially ranked solo queue. And because the radar is useless. And because Sprint beat down is busted.vand because you can’t hear enemy footsteps or bullets.

Half the fights I lose I’m in a br fight and someone smacks me in the back of the head.

That’s kind of how Halo has always worked. The guy who gets the first couple shots usually wins the fight lol

Not really, in older halos if you’re good enough you can reversal very frequently. In this game it’s barely possible

Maybe headshots is the same TTK but body shots definitely not. Faster in infinite.

Also, the BR feels like it has a faster fire rate but I’m not sure about this.

I’ve gotten plenty of reversals, and also been reversed plenty of times. In those situations, the player with the better movement wins.

The be was relatively the same, but other weapons did not maintain that TTK. Granted that was during the flight where testing had not been done. These numbers have likely changed.

Are you on mkb? On controller it’s barely possible unless you have crazy high sens or are using just beating down. Also in this game 2v1s are not possible and in h3 I can 2v1 or even 3v1.

I play with a controller and on 6 sensitivity. Best game I played was BTB and I went 31 and 11, with 3 Triple Kills and a Killing Frenzy.

I’m mostly talking about ranked here, especially solo queue. In larger game modes it’s a very different game

Yeah it is definitely more of the latter two. I think the TTK with the BR is good, actually, but I think the AR has too much range for it’s new power level. I like that it is strong, as that makes it still useful and not just a weapon to throw away, but it should have less range if its TTK is so short.

Yeah definitely agree with that. For me I have even more trouble because the radar is so useless, because I have hearing problems. I can’t hear enemies at all, so without radar I got nothing.

A. That’s not a good reason not to change it, and B. I don’t think that’s even true. I could get reversals all the time in older games; in this game it’s all but impossible.

The TTK in this game is really fast, yes. Does it need to be turned up? Well, I don’t think so.

Like any Halo installment, this game’s mechanics imply a learning curve. Placement and map awareness are more important now, and getting lost or caught by surprise can turn very quickly against you.

It feels slow to me. I’ve had so many engagements where people soak up bullets. If a gun doesn’t do headshots then it’s almost useless because of TTK. If anything TTK seems too fast when the game is lagging or there’s no audio cue to let you know you are being shot.

The problem with that is the radar is super small, and the AR has very long range, so it causes a lot of situations where you get melted before you ever knew anything was happening.

The radar definitely needs an increase in range, I’ll give you that.

Yeah I would agree that TTK is definitely slow for non-kinetic weapons, comparatively., and gets you killed when you don’t know where you’re getting shot from. I think the issue though is that the TTK for kinetic weapons is too fast, rather than other weapons being too slow. The overall TTK should be longer, so that all weapons, including grenades, take a bit longer, and then the non-kinetic weapons should be powered up just a bit to make them more effective.
