Either now or in one of the future DLC maps, how cool would it be to have a multiplayer map with a constant storm of rain, wind, and thunder going on? Like, it’s hard to see ahead of you, there’s water everywhere, and the heavy wind can affect the grenades you throw and the vehicles you pilot. It would also be cool to have a tsunami come in every once in a while to destroy everything in its path. Of course, the map would need to have high-grounds (i.e. towers) for when all hell breaks loose.
Yeah that would be cool
wasnt there a part in one of the vidocs which showed a tsunami/tidal wave killing a bunch of elites and vehicles.
“Levelutions” as Battlefield players like to call them, seem cool at first, and can always be trumped up in a video to look awesome. However, more often than not they are more of a hindrance on gameplay than something that actually enhances it.
Take Dustbowl for example, a desert town map in Battlefield where on occasion a sandstorm blows through the town disrupting your field of view… in all the times I’ve played that map, 9/10 players just drop the ground and hide until it’s over.
Yeah, I’d love to get a map pack based on weather and natural disasters. It’d be like GOW 3’s Forces of Nature, just more like Halo.
I have lots of friends who are interested in a “rainy” halo map.
Eh. I hate stage hazards, personally, but as long as that stays out of competitive playlists then I don’t see the harm.

I think the rain should be cosmetic only. Should not entirely blur your helmet or make u slip when running.
Multiplayer, I’d love to see visual weather effects that don’t really impact the gameplay. Show some rain, visually represent wind, but don’t jank with the mechanics of the game. That can mess with the player experience in more harmful ways than good, I believe.
Now, for campaign, this would be really interesting.
Not a bad idea. It would be another dynamic map. CoD had a similar water map that would come into the map as a hazard.
No thanks. Hated it in Gears 3 and Advanced Warfare. Really screws with balance.
Sounds fun but optimizing that sounds like there would be more fun. Other than that, it’s a very creative idea.
I would like to see a rain based map but not exactly a tsunami or any kind of water based flooding at all.

It was shown in the E3 sprint vidocs. I think it was for campaign.
Thunderstorms would be neat. If you/your vehicle gets hit by lightning it gets EMP’ed for a short time. I know its a wierd thing but hey, pretty cool
I’m sure they might have a map that looks similar to it, Halo occasionally makes maps that are influenced by campaign missions or atmospheres.
