Hello, My names Jacob and im really trying to start making a change for the better of the halo community. Ive been pmaying halo since 2006 and have been largely impacted by this community and the franchise ever since. I recently have been thinking of ways to improve and revive this community that is rapidly decreasing in size. I want to bring back the community feelin there was in 07 where people would travel the world to LAN party on halo 3. I think we are all missing out on being the largest and most amazing community like we were back then. I love this community and I hate watching it grt smaller events year. This game franchise changed my life and created memories that ill never forget and i want to pay it back. I think we shoukd all join together and see what we can do to change halo for the better amd I think the first step to that is showing 343 what we really want. Lets join together and repopulate the halo 3 servers! Ever since it came to backwards compatibility its been slow and not so populated! Lets change that! Then again halo 3 is the art style we want right? We wamt that couch co-op! We want that storytelling! We want that feeling of a real classic halo experience! So lets get to it and repopulate that 11 year old game! Imagine what that would say to 343! This is our solution. This is really what I believe will save halo. I love you all i llve 343 amd i love Halo! Lets show this community that we all do! I have faith in you all! See you all on Halo 3 matchmaking!
I’m cool with a repopulation on Halo 3 especially if we can play more than just Social Slayer.
If you want to revive the halo community you are better off improving MCC or bringing back its foundation in Halo 6 (fyi Halo 3 was not its foundation).
The population started dipping during Halo 3 to be honest. You wonder why Halo isn’t big anymore, it was because Halo 3 got frustrating aside from the more social gametypes like Grifball. Sure, MLG was still fun, but from my perspective, most of the original Halo fans who enjoyed Halo 1 and 2 got tired of it and started playing more mainstream stuff like COD, Gears, and Destiny.
I support the original Halos with MCC (even though they aren’t a good representation, especially not for og HCE) and keeping the hype for it high with Naded’s streams! And, the update seems to be a good one that is coming soon
The issue is that people always say that they want to repopulate the game, but they never do. The servers are still up, so instead of saying they want to, just play the game. I admit that we would require a huge and collaborative effort to repopulate the game. It is definitely doable, but most people end up doing nothing about it. I also believe that Halo 3’s infrastructure is very outdated and will put people off immediately.
