Why in the world am I getting paired up with people better than me in a freaking social playlist over an over again. I was a Diamond last season, and now I am getting destroyed in freaking social playlist. People have been running full parties with there tryhard -Yoink!- on. Will this ever get fixed? its a social playlist, I should be getting paired with just about anyone… Not the top 5 %…Anyone else with this issue please comment.

Dude, meeeee too. Check my W/L from last night… Lost just about every match I was in. I keep getting absolutely murdered in BTB now that it’s “social”. The one game mode I liked to play is no longer fun.
I luckily haven’t had this issue but that’s kind of the problem when it’s social. There is no control over who you match. Pros like Roy or Snip3down could get matched againt someone who is playing their first match ever of Halo.
Social games are not balanced. There’s no ranking, so no guarantee that you will be with people with similar skill. And what could they possibly do to ‘fix’ this? Tell people not to be super competitive in social? Not gonna happen.
How about people who party up and go try hard go play some normal ranked arena…Ruining it for casual players wanting to at least get more than 5 kills a game…

I have matched with pretty good people, multiple times in a row. Not only that, they have team gamertags. How am I supposed to compete with Semi - Pros with casual players on my team and get req points? Seems pretty broken to me…
That’s why ranked isn’t so bad. Instead of obsessing about ranking up, just enjoy competitive games with people around the same skill. Social is only fun if you are average or better, otherwise is die, die, die again.

They could make it ranked to even out the matches, oh wait.
There’s still ranking and match making. You just can’t see it.

They could just add a ranked btb playlists along with the social one
When 343 removes ranks from a playlist it doesnt mean its social in my opinion. 343 has messed up here. they did this with the MCC also.
All the Onyx players that were playing BTB now just play amongst all the other players. Its not as if those players stopped playing BTB. Social playlists are supposed to cater to casual gamers that don’t care about rankings. If there isn’t a ranked alternative to that playlist then the people who do care about their rank play the social playlist because they don’t have any other option. In order for this to be successful there must be separate casual playlists and ranked playlists. halo 3 had no problem figuring this out. seems silly that 343 has a hard time grasping this.
who even asked for BTB to be unranked? i know people want social playlists but i don’t think anyone realized that all 343 would do is take the rank of the existing playlist and call it social. this is a terrible solution to the problem. i would much prefer BTB to still be ranked. If we need a social playlist make separate playlists for social! this is ridiculous
Maybe it’s because everyone has been waiting for social playlists to just chill out on, so there was a large influx of good players as well. If social playlists were there from the start, things would’ve evened out with players playing both Arena and Social from time to time whereas now people may be playing more Social than they would have been because it just got here.
If people are good, they’re not just good start playing badly because they’re in social. Social just means - assuming 343’s done it this way - that the skill based matching is less strict, so while you may play people better than you, you’ll also be playing people worse than you. But like I said, many people have been waiting for social and now it’s here, so there will be more teams and better players than you’re used to - for now anyway.
What exactly a tryhard? Don’t we all try hard when we play?

It’s not like you’re entitled to a certain % of wins or something.

That worked in Halo 3 because there was a huge population. I doubt Halo 5 has the population for a social and ranked version of every playlist.

Tryhard is a term used by the weak to justify their lack of skill instead of looking within to fix leaks in their game.
To be fair, I only play socail for Snipers, and I am getting better but I do agree
Isn’t social for playing for fun?
So if people find it fun to party up and “try hard”, should they not be allowed to go social?
If you dont like losing dont play the game at all. Theres gonna always be a loser no matter what playlist you are in.

Yeah bit stupid if you ask me. They shouldn’t add each Playlist as unranked social, but to simply make BTB unranked… i don’t know
