Just look at BTB, they added TU without asking a soul, the population numbers NEVER changed

I love how BK’s come in here saying I just play for fun, but were the first

If you had been paying attention to the 24hr counter than you would have seen that the daily population continues to go down.
Your peak playtime may be up but overall playtime is down.

also they may have found them but it doesnt mean they care enough to stop playing or will even notice a change. The numbers of BTB have always fluctuated between 4-7K
despit another BTB playlist this has not changed

any new xbox or account on the market has the same odds of playign reach as any other game. if reach stays its position its basically the same

You interpretation is something to be desired.
Major Nelson doesn’t show you numbers, it shows you percentages. If Reach’s population continued to drop, yet its position went up 1 in the MN charts then one of two things has likely occurred;
I put my money on #2, after all Thanksgiving and Christmas allowed MW2 players to get the new MW3 (and perhaps a copy of BO that they’re a year behind in).

Not to mention Halo : CEA has it’s numbers included in Reach’s. Notice how CEA isn’t even on Nelson’s list? With that, CEA (which coincidentally was launched the same day the TU went out) having it’s numbers included within the Reach count is what made the population seem larger. If you take those numbers out of consideration, there has been very little changes to the base Reach population.

You missed the part where Anniversary was released featuring a subset of Reach multiplayer, a new map pack and then christmas happened.
Yep seem to have overlooked that somehow.

Actually, they do. BTB is just popular because people like to play in big team games. I personally hate TU but I still play BTB, because its fun. I like to play 2 flag CTF BTB on hemmorhage.
