When I was playing Truth and Reconciliation level the other day I just rescued Captain Keyes and took him and the marines back to the bridge of the ship. They said their dialogue and I was holding a needler, looking down the ramp at the door on the left waiting for the first wave of grunts to come through and then I was told to go back to the hangar and find a way out and then the screen went white, then black and it skipped to the end cutscene where Keyes flies the Spirit out and splatters the Hunters. I had Grunts Funeral Skull active as well.
But my issue was that the game skipped from the bridge room defence with Captain Keyes straight to the end cutscene.
Is this a glitch or… did I do something wrong?
I’ve seen it happen before. it’s not so much a glitch as an exploit, I just have no idea how to replicate it.
Did you still get credit for finishing the mission though?
This has always been a quirk with the level. Speedrunners have found that using their paths and grenade stacking their way up the hangar bay rather than fighting through all the encounters can force it to happen, but I’m not sure what exactly causes it, as it can happen occasionally on normal playthroughs.
at least you didnt have to start the mission over because it wouldnt progress through the third hunters… fail checkpoint = fail
Keyes is an idiot anyways… running on top of plasmas and taking a nice squat, right before i get my trollface and fuuuuuuuuuuu as i repeat the hallways for the 343rd time…
