With the release of the ranking system getting closer and closer. Will you continue to play Halo 4 if it is a Waypoint/out of game ranking system?
I for one will not. Part of what made halo 2 a lot of fun and kept me playing every single day. Was the leader boards and in game ranking system. It was so much fun to try to raise my level every day.
It was also fun to go online to bungie.net and look through leader boards and see the top players. Yes this caused some issues with cheating, but there will be cheating no matter what… And also with the xbox 360 being more difficult to mod, and the servers being more aware of network manipulation, I don’t think it would be much of a problem.
Can we get some text feedback as well please.
While the poll is a great way to see how you all feel, I would like to hear how you all feel as well.
my internet went down… Thanks for voting guys… Can we please get some text feedback.
Yes I will, I kinda like the SR system and sometimes I keep playing matches and having fun n forget even that my exp bar is progressing. Whats the new ranking true skill system? I dont know anything about it, will it be like Halo 3 high skill?
iT’S NEEDED. THIS GUY I KNOW IS GETTING ON BACK BECAUSE HE’S A HIGHER RANK THEN ME. HE’S TERRIBLE THOUGH.

Ok, now turn caps lock off and go play spartan ops to reach his level and ALWAYS mention his ratio when u talk to him.
Yea when is the new ranking system out? i have heard little about it so if anyone knows anything please share. Will it be like Halo 3? will SR system go away?
Actually I just read how how it will all be based online. There is a thread about it and I cant figure out how to delete my comment hah.
From what I understand it will be like halo 3’s ranking system ( Which no one liked ) and you will only see it in halo way point… Correct me if Im wrong.
And from what I understand, it will be implemented some time in like the next month
If not implemented into the game, Halo4 will turn into Reach for me and I will play it every now and then…and i will have wasted my 60 bucks thanks 343
If it will match me up against players more my skill then it wont matter to me if its in game or not. I just wanna play fair games. Its more fun that way. But IMO it should be visible in game. Oh well we never get 100% of what we want anyways.

I agree with this 100%
And like I stated in my original post. Part of what made halo 2 so fun and kept me playing every days for hours on end, was trying to get to level 40+, not to mention the bragging rights when you have that number next to your name is for some reason very satisfying
I also remember spending hours on end sword flying to get to the highest point on headlong. LOL ahh, the good ole days
Just want to get this back to the top of the forum… Please post some feedback guys/gals
I want it in game, but only if they do the ranked playlist right.
could you go a little more in depth? What would be " right " to you?
already bored with the game my friends and i are hoping my number is next to my name or this is going to gamestop and black ops 2 is coming home with me least they take care of there players this has been one big scam in my eyes. i hope 343 can shut us all up and give us what we want. HALO
a visible 1-50 system is only the tip of the iceberg. Its not just about having an awesome number someone can judge you off of, i mean its no different than k/d its a number to help judge you by. The only difference was always that feeling i got when i went into a social match with a 50 wondering if he cheated or boosted to get it and i would find out very soon just how good he really was. And even though some people cheated it worked very well in capturing ones skill into a number, the highest i ever got was 37 lone wolves, just because i never really had a group of friends to do doubles or team slayer, but i was really proud that i was able to reach that rank when i was still coming up as a better gamer. Its not like SR where its a base on your time instead of skill, even someone who does sub par can get around 2k xp for completing a game while i only get about 500-700 more for winning or doing better.
Even after all this talk of trueskill and rank, there also needs to be ranked and social in order to separate the respective communities with some reasonable judgement. So i dont have to worry about having a relaxed game or a really hard one, when most games i find are people who are constantly being try hards with the typical loadout of DMR, Boltshot, Plasma Grenades, Some sort of grenade perk, and PV. Its annoying and i feel like this separation will make the game more “fun” to me instead of basing someones pure skill on how many randoms they can stomp with a full group at their disposal, because their skill matching system at the moment is laughable with the experiences ive had.

I agree with this 100%… and on the note of having 2 separate playlists styles, is something I would love to see again.
I remember when there was, I think it was hardcore and social playlists ( Correct me on the names if I am wrong) It made it fun to go into hardcore and be a try hard, But at the same time, If I had friends over and just wanted to have some fun, i would go into the social playlist.
