In Reach, Bungie implemented emblems that appeared alongside your gamertag in multiplayer lobbies that represented your past experience with Halo. And via Waypoint, you could receive exclusive armor such as the Military Police and CQB variants. I believe 343 should give fans more incentive to play past Halo games prior to Halo 4’s launch by giving the veterans something truly special that we can be proud of. For example, beat Halo 3 on legendary? Collected all of the skulls and accessed all terminals? You should receive the original Mark VI helmet. Beat Halo Anniversary on legendary? Receive the Mark V helmet, ODST helmets for Halo 3: ODST players, etc. I just want to feel like my past Halo experience to allow me to make myself unique to other players(mainly the newcomers and casual Halo players).
ive beaten all halo games (bar halo wars) solo legendary. ive completed several mythic runs on h3 halo CEA and halo reach. i have performed many speed runs in my off time. does that mean my head should glow like a rainbow and i shoot hearts? no. i think the fshoving your boot to a noobs skull should be rewarding enough for all your past experience.

I agree in a sense. I don’t think 343i should do this with past halo games other than Halo CEA because its a game that was made by them. I feel like 343i should stick with their own games. If you think about it, reach already did this. I have every single Halo achievement (but 1) and I don’t feel i should be rewarded in Halo 4 for that. Thats just my opinion though. In Halo 6 I think this would be an awesome idea for all 343i made games.

It would be nice to see something carryover to indicate past triumphs in the Halo Universe.
Even an emblem or skin.

I completely got your example. But you made it sound like we I was proposing that we receive Thor’s hammer to slay noobs with. A simple helmet is not much to ask for, afterall, Reach already did it. I’m just saying that they should take it a step forward.
I disagree. Veterans that have extra armour will just make little kids freakout and beg 343 to give them some extra armour just like in Halo 3 with the recon armour. And when 343 gives in to the little kids and gives everyone the special content, everyone will have it equiped and no one will have their own unique armour.

Nothing is stopping those ‘little kids’ to go back and play the older Halo games to unlock the armour for themselves.
I’ve played since Halo 2 and I don’t care about my Spartan looking pretty… Veteran players don’t need incentive to play Halo the game is enough.
Do we need to be rewarded? No.
Woudld it be nice to be rewarded? Yeah sure, everyone likes getting stuff.

Well, It’s kind of hard to play Halo 2 and CE, because there’s no live… I’m kind of pissed by it though, I played every Halo game but I couldn’t get the Halo nameplate because I played it on xbox.
I support this idea. Reach incorporated a similar system with nameplates and no one seemed to be against those.
I don’t see why it’s entirely necessary, but on the other hand, neither can I see why it shouldn’t happen.

My only problem of this is that I have made multiple accounts with all Halo achievements (excluding wars) on a few of these accounts. On my current one I only have Endure which i have completed at least 10 times.

I think nameplates are as far as rewarding vets should go. Gears of War 3 had a good plan with giving certain Medals to players based on certain achievements in previous titles, participation in the Gears 3 Beta, etc.
Honestly though, I think online service records do well enough.

Theres nothing wrong with encouraging players to try the prior titles.

As will I! I’ve never seen many with it compared to the others.
