I was wondering if anyone from the community could help me troubleshoot an issue that no one else seems to be having.
I’ve been using the Forge on Halo 5 for quite some time (Xbox One), and just recently began noticing huge input delay/lag to a point that the Forge is unplayable. I know there was a similar issue 343 eventually addressed on PC, but this is an entirely different beast. Every action I attempt is followed by roughly a second of delay, and when attempting to duplicate or spawn objects, the game locks up for a second and then spawns anywhere from just a handful to almost a hundred of the object you attempted to duplicate/spawn, sometimes trailing out of boundaries and out of player-reach. Switching from editor to player and vice-versa is a nightmare because my camera/player model can suddenly rubberband away from a position I was idling in, and there’s even a few seconds of delay before your death if you purposely step out of bounds and wait out the countdown.
These issues appear on the Forge ONLY, regardless if I start with a blank slate on Parallax or an already complete custom build of mine. I doubt this is a network/server issue, as Campaign and Custom Browser/Multiplayer matches have no input delay for me at all. I’ve tried reinstalling the game, hard-reseting my console, clearing cache/disk persistent storage, and even switching out my controllers for extra measures. All to no avail.
What on earth is happening and how do I fix this?
