I purchased Spartan Assault when it came out, however, with the update it would not download. I can now no longer download SA and it gives me some sort of error with the option to either try again or cancel download. I am using a Surface RT.
Is anyone else having this problem?
Can you describe the exact error it’s giving you?
the error code/message is 'something happened and this app couldn’t be installed. Please try again. Error code 0x80240437 (well that’s the error code I get)
this error code is also affecting other apps such as the Microsoft travel app and the news app.
I tried uninstalling the game and re-installing it thinking that would work and it didn’t hope this helps

Just out of curiosity, I know Spartan Assault was said to work on windows 8 but was released for Windows RT. Has 343i stopped supporting Spartan Assault for RT with this update? Seeing as I can download neither.
I’m running RT on my Surface - downloaded and installed the game and all updates without any trouble. If it makes any difference, I upgraded to the 8.1 preview. I’m not running stock.

I’d only go for the preview if you’re comfortable working with beta/preview release software. While 8.1 is a major improvement on 8.0, it still has its bugs.
I’m having trouble downloading it on the surface rt and I can’t delete it and get my money back but that’s not what I want, I want the game to work after I download it it stops and says Rhys app wasn’t installed - view details so I click on that and it says error code 0x80080207 pls help I just want it to work

Before I direct you to the proper place to solve this issue, I’d like you to be aware that spamming (posting many posts in a row) and necroposting (posting in a very old thread) are both against the rules. With that said, this issue appears to be with the Windows Surface and is thus out of our scope. I recommend contacting Windows Support for help with this issue.
If they direct you here, I’ll see what I can do.
