My friend and I have had an issue recently where we cannot connect to each other and the host gets an error saying they have been disconnected from online services.

Same here. What I’ve noticed as well is if you keep trying to invite your friend through the game and not through the Xbox app it tends to work better but still sometimes DC’s but after trying like a hundred times it seems to work.

It’s widespread. Be sure to submit Halo Support tickets so that they know that this is hitting multiple people.
