Trolls in warzone ruin the game, fix it!

Was doing a firefight match just now, saw some guy use his ghost to kill people in the team untill he got kicked, he wasn’t even helping. I was one of the people who got ran over, he ran over one/two guys after me in a row and got kicked.

A minute or two later i see another guy running around doing shoulder charge on people who were driving ghosts/mongooses with rockets. What happens here, he flips someones mongoose, steals it and drives it away so nobody uses it. He returns and tries to flip my ghost, he managed to do so once after like 10 attempts when i was trying to defend an objective, he got killed shortly after stealing it, i got it back, same dude stalks me all over the map and does shoulder charge nonstop on me, i ran him over twice, i get kicked since i had no clue as to what was the limit (i was expecting a kick, just didn’t know when it was triggered).

There is also the issue that people use shoulder charge to knock people off platforms and sometimes into a pit where you pretty much get screwed really quick. (this happens often from the looks of it)

Fix this crap, make everyone a ghost in warzone so players aren’t trolling the other people who are trying to play, thank you very much. By ghost i mean, players can’t phisically interact with each other, so no blocking, no pushing, no knockbacks, no trolling, no kicks on clueless players who try to get revenge.

Before someone says “It’s not because of one match that this needs to get considered”, the problem here is that it isn’t just one match, the vehicle stealing is actually the first time i see, the other stuff happens quite often, i’ve been doing firefight all afternoon/evening since i like this mode, it’s like 1 in every 3 matches i did, there was always someone doing this. I’ve rarelly played Halo 5 in warzone, i stick mostly to arena since it’s my kind of thing, warzone got better with firefight and it’s sadly being ruined by little kids who think it’s funny to get people kicked or steal their stuff.

From what you said you participated in the trolling by retaliating.

Great, amazing comment, let me guess, you are one of those idiots trolling people in warzone matches? Or perhaps you are one of those guys who supports trolling in games? Or maybe you are just clueless overall, my actions weren’t troll-based, they were related to revenge. Learn your place.

I only killed the dude for what he had done to me and kept on trying to do it again when i recovered my stolen ghost, he was being a pest. I was trying to play the match while he was constantly pushing me around, obviously i’m going to get annoyed and run him over if he keeps doing that.

Someone’s a little mad they got called out lmao. You’re no better than the other guy. Just a question, how do you propose they “fix” this? Have a troll meter that goes up by every Spartan charge they do on a friendly?

I’m not even sure if you guys are being serious or are just stupid by default. So i will go with both options for now.

Called out? You guys honestly sound like you troll for a living with those kind of comments. Last i checked my instinct was revenge, not trolling, like hell, i’m a pretty good troll getting myself kicked for running over the same troll twice who kept following you around the entire map constantly -Yoink!- you off. Makes sense, i’m trolling myself. Sounds about right.

EDIT: (I’m no better than the other guy, lol ok, sounds logical, the other guy stole my ghost, or tried to and ended up dead after doing so. Not only did he steal my ghost once, he was also trolling. Last i checked i trolled nobody and didn’t steal nobodies vehicle. The first guy in the match got kicked for running over 2-3 players, i was one of them, i don’t know why he did it, maybe he was trying to kill that same guy that trolled me except he got carried away and decided to ran me over instead, i have no clue)

As for the fix, if you actually read my first comment, there was/is a way to fix this. Alot of online games use this to avoid glitching/bugging/trolling in online gaming. The fix is making everyone non physical in the same team, as if they were ghosts. Here is a description on how it works, since you probably never heard of it even though its commonly used in alot of pc games nowadays. Info: So you would phase through anyone in your team while they are walking. If you are in a vehicle and they are walking, they will phase through your vehicle. If you are in a vehicle and someone else in the team is in a vehicle, you will collide obviously since it only works for people who are on foot. If both are walking, obviously you will phase through each other.

What does this “fix” accomplish?
-Well for starters, trolls will drop down like flies, they will have to resort to other less pratical ways to troll other gamers.
-No more accidental “run over” while driving, i did ran over two players in other matches by mistake as i was trying to get away from heavy enemy fire. Not that i can’t really be blamed for both deaths when someone is standing in your way when you are trying to retreat asap.
-No more knockbacks into a pit or off a building, there are idiots out there playing just to do this to others, i saw some guy shoulder charge another player from a high place who was standing near the edge, dude fell off into the middle of 10-15 prometheans and got instantly killed. I have no clue what was the deal behind it, what matters here is that people are doing it. I should also add, i got shoulder charged away from cover when i was low in health and trying to recover behind a box or inside a building two times.
-No more blocking or standing in the way of your shots, one of the things i hate about shooters is this, the fact that some guy in your team can just pop up in front of you and pretty much ruin your shots.
-No more kicks influenced by trolls playing the game.
-No more req item thieves, it is fine to take the loot of others when they die trying to fight, forcing their death or flipping over their vehicle is outright BS and should be fixed.

There are more reasons, but these are probably the major ones that come to my mind.

Watch your step, you know nothing about me what I do or my habits. Don’t accuse me of anything. I was on Xbox community ambassadors program and part of enforcement united. So I am trained to view situations unbiasedly. You killed them just as they killed you. That makes you just as wrong. If someone sends you a message on Xbox and you report them, then send a reply you can then be held accountable yourself. Its in the Xbox code of conduct if you don’t believe me. IDC if it was for revenge or not you are now more at fault in my eyes for falsely accusing me with no evidence. You also defamed my character and resorted to ill-based namecalling. I did nothing except give my opinion. YOU are in the wrong here not me. I do not appreciate your slander. Stop

Even here you call this person stupid, you called me clueless, you accuses both of us simple because we didn’t agree with you. You’re upset about what happens that’s cool but now your are technically cyberbullying which is a federal offense in some states. Just because someone disagrees with you doesn’t give you the right to lash out, name call, deface characters, falsely accuse, and pester others. As far as I’m concerned the actions you did here today now, with everyone viewing it, are worse than being trolled. What you did was uncalled for and people can get emotionally hurt over it. You are worse than the trolls. I hope that the moderators see that and take action because you bullied not one but TWO random strangers online simply because they didn’t agree with you.

You can disagree as much as you want with what you see, not my fault you write like someone who is trying to do troll bait people into a flamewar. The way you wrote your first comment is something a troll would have said to cause what is happening right now. In other words you are a troll. If this was your goal or not, i have no clue, only you can answer that, but to my eye, a troll. My opinion, yes? The same opinion you share about me being a troll for killing a troll twice, your opinion, which was insulting and the reason why i jumped on you, yes (just a hint to your wrong doing).

So look at it this way, you think you are a fine gentleman at work here, when you really aren’t. You come here, you somewhat read part of the comment i posted, you post your opinion, knowing that OP was slightly annoyed at the time, regardless you post an opinion to cause even more nuisance to OP. The other dude even further adds more nuisance to the topic.

If you got nothing worthwhile/nice to say, don’t say anything at all. That is everything there is to it, don’t go crying on me for things to backfire on you when you are pretty much the one pulling the strings and acting all nice and sweet.

May i suggest you to reread everything, i didn’t “kill them”, i killed only one guy on purpose, twice. That guy was the one who previously flipped my ghost and stole it for a few seconds and kept on trying again. Which led me to come here and post this after i ran him over two times. Other than this i had 2 accidental “run overs” in earlier matches, you know when you boost with a ghost, and suddently there is someone in the way when you are trying to retreat, yeah things like that happen. That wasn’t intentional on my part, believe it or not. If it was intentional i probably wouldn’t be talking about my todays experience right? Sounds logical, i think.

Reading comprehension is a good thing sometimes, don’t you agree?

PS: If you still think you are in the right with your first comment, then perhaps you should refrain from commenting even further into this topic, which begs the question, why did you even comment at all? If you want to share an opinion, do it so cleanly. You literally called me a troll for doing revenge on a troll. Which literally makes no sense. You could have instead said something like “I disagree with you to some extent, you did bad on killing that same player twice on purpose.” But nope, calling OP a troll after being trolled, hell yeah!

Honestly IDC anymore. I just wanted to give my opinion as a member of the halo community. I wasn’t posting here to be harassed, rediculed, and bullied because I don’t agree with you. You persist to namecall and defame people. IDC if you’re annoyed with the trolling. Don’t post if you can’t handle others opinions. Nobody here did anything to you. You attacked two people (myself included) unprovoked. No one called you a troll. I said you participated. Reading comprehension is a good thing sometimes, don’t you agree? either way I’m done here I posted my opinion, you obviously couldn’t handle it.
Hopefully mods will sort it all out not my job to be Xbox police anymore. Lol. Happy haloing!!!

Just do what I do the -Yoinks!- like that. Report them then block them. Problem solved.

-If you don’t care anymore then why do you keep posting here? You contradicted yourself there… Just a heads up.

-You weren’t posting to be insert long list of bad stuff here, alright. Next time rethink the words you are replying people with. Maybe you will get less drama on you. Just maybe. Also quit exagerating.

-“You persist to namecall and defame people”, lol ok…

-Again, if you don’t care, why are you posting…?

-“Don’t post if you can’t handle others opinions.” Look, i’m all down for peoples opinions, it all works down to how you approach me with your comments, they way you approached me, basically backfired on you. The other dude went a little further (on the trolling deparment), so it also backfired on him. Sharing opinions is something i do often with people i know and even sometimes people from certain communities, i’ll take things smoothly if you make a decent approach with your opinion, even if its a negative opinion. There are many ways to voice your opinion, that alone should mean something to you in your future posts.

-“Nobody here did anything to you.” Except you did even if unwillingly, unless you consider yourself a nobody. That would be bad…

-“You attacked two people (myself included) unprovoked.” You really are ignoring part of my comments, that further justifies my opinion about you. You reply to me saying “unprovoked”, did you even read what i said in my previous post? I explained what you did wrong, yet you tell me this. Seems like i keep hitting the same wall over here.

-“No one called you a troll. I said you participated. Reading comprehension is a good thing sometimes, don’t you agree?” Do you want me to tell you the definition of the word participate? English isn’t my main language but if you want me to, i can explain you the definition of that word. Also, pick your words carefully when you state your opinion. It is pretty much that what is at fault here to begin with. You want to state your opinion? That is great but do it in a clean manner, pick the right words, grab the wrong ones and you get exactly this, blame yourself on that one. Nobody insulted you in OP, you did insult me first even if unwillingly (obviously at the time i took it with a different approach)

-“either way I’m done here I posted my opinion, you obviously couldn’t handle it.” Honestly, just the fact that i got a little bit pissy for a comment or two which could have been avoided if you were carefull enough is the only thing you achieved with your comments so far.

-“Hopefully mods will sort it all out not my job to be Xbox police anymore. Lol. Happy haloing!!!” There are two sides of the coin, if they see both, both are culprits in this case. As you said so before “view things unbiasedly”, neutral is the way to go. A good moderator would do such a thing.

Anyways, i’m done here. Hopefully you won’t keep this going as there is no point in doing so and i’m getting tired of having to reply here. Let’s leave it as it is.

I hate when ‘kids’ doing this, but how should they be fixing this?.. I mean like I shoulder dash my friends for fun, as soon as the next wave starts I’ll stop charging. So I would be kicked for having fun charging against my buds? :stuck_out_tongue:

I do it too on occasion, but normally once a game starts I play. (Unless I’m suuuper bored)

Sadly the only way to fix it would be to make teammates non-physical to each other. If someone is on foot and you are driving something, the other player will phase through your vehicle. If you are on foot and the other player is on foot, you will phase through each other. If both are in vehicles, you will collide with each other.

Of course this would ruin some of the fun of shoulder charging friends or random people just for the heck of it. It is because of some people that abuse things that sometimes fun things must come to an end.

Look at destiny for somewhat of an example, they use the same feature in a similiar way. Players in the same fireteam are physical to each other on foot or in vehicle. Random players found online are “ghosts” and will phase through each other. Destiny lacks this feature in pvp, which is a downfall, there is also alot of trolling in that game. Titans shoulder charging players off the map when they are sniping in high spots, or shoulder charging people away from cover and get them killed. Or even simply have the amazing lag come into play and have someone run up to you and push you like 2-5 meters to the side when trying to run through the path in which you are standing, this is something that happens alot in that game. Or when someone stands in your way when you are trying to shoot someone down (also a problem).

Halo 5 looks identical to Destiny with the same problem, except that in Halo 5 kids can actually steal things and ruin requisitions from other players and even get people kicked out of matches for their own trolling.

I’m pretty sure all of us have done it at least once, we do it for the fun of it, not to ruin other peoples games. Two different things. It is fine to shoulder charge someone when nothing is going on next to you. Doing that in a hot zone is a bad idea and can get people killed real quick. I know this since i got killed twice yesterday when i was getting cover and saw someone shoulder charge another player from a hill into the middle of a enemy wave with a boss human mecha thing present in the wave. Both my deaths were shoulder charges aswell, i was behind a box hiding from 4 banshee bosses that kill me in like 0.5 seconds if under fire, someone pushed me to the left side a little and i got instantly killed with about 40% of my total health/shield. The other death was inside one of those armoury buildings, had to defend the place, i was next to one of the exits killing everyone that gets in with a shotgun. Someone shoulder charges me out of the building and i get killed while i have no shield. I mean i could have died without the shoulder charge obviously, but the fact that i got pushed to under enemy fire earlier than it should have been doesn’t help me stay alive much longer either.

Dang you guys out here writing books. Relax. Obviously there is a troll problem in the FF I’m sure everyone’s experienced it. Only thing you can do is report them for unsporting conduct, leave a comment telling what the dude’s doing, and submit it. Trust me, it works. Really not that hard.

In between rounds I’ll melee the other players out of pure boredom. I had one guy during a round run me over with a warthog intentionally. So I retaliated with a rocket launcher.

Fair’s fair lol

Alright, I get that you’re upset about trolls, but since when was fighting fire with fire ok? I’ll give an example of when doing such actions would be bad just for the sake of time.

I might accidentally run over a teammate while trying to reach an objective, or trying to run over a boss, and the same thing might happen to me (I’ll admit, I have accidentally ran over teammates in the past while trying to splatter an elite boss, and the same has happened to me.). Does that make it ok to intentionally run over the player, or have the player run over me? Just because we were trying to play the objective, we deserve retaliation for doing something stupid even though it was NOT intentional?

Obviously not, right? With the Long respawn times, you can’t afford to intentionally teamkill, or attempt to fight back teamkillers on purpose, as doing so can cost you the game/round. Stop complaining about a problem if you participate in it. You team killed, the troll teamkilled, you both did the wrong thing here. If it was an accidental splatter, I would understand, (and I STRONGLY agree with the idea of ghosting teammates.) However, trying to take matters into your own hands by trying to teamkill or annoy someone (even a “troll”) isn’t the way to go about dealing with an issue. You’re just as bad as the troll in question by going against your teammates.

Here’s an idea just report and block. There’s no need to stoop to their level.
