Many of you may have seen that it is possible to jump from Pink 1 directly to Pink 2 on Truth by thrusting up the curved geometry, as Snip3down has demonstrated many times. I went into a custom game today after seeing it for the first time and tried it. It is astonishingly simple. Walk or sprint forward into base of the tower from either red or blue side, thrust into it, and you will be launched upward. At the apex of the jump, clamber onto the bridge connecting top mid and pink 2. Voila. The path you must take is even traced by two aesthetic lines carved into the tower (one on each side), which point to the two spots from which this facile jump is possible. It is a sneaky maneuver sometimes, but certainly not game breaking, since you have to come in at an angle from bottom middle or from in front of your base, leaving you exposed.
Regret, which is a remix of Truth, has similar geometrical elements. As it happens, it is easily possible to do the exact same thing on the fuel rod tower…
But only from the blue side. The red side has some small rocks at the base of the tower at the starting point of this jump. The rocks prevent the smooth transition necessary to glide up the side of the tower. I propose either the removal of those rocks (which otherwise have absolutely no influence on gameplay), or the addition of a similar patch of rock on the blue side. It doesn’t matter to me, nor is it particularly important, I just think that a symmetrical map needs to have symmetrical jump possibilities.
