Has anyone else noticed a delay from pressing the trigger to the weapon actually firing? It’s easiest to notice with autos. I think I’ve seen it with the AR, but I positively remember it happening with the Storm Rifle in the past. It seems to pop up intermittently where I’ll press the trigger and there is about a 1/2 second delay before it starts to fire. Always results in a death. It happened more than once in Covenant Slayer with the Storm Rifle yesterday.
Its either your controller or your tv/monitor

Well I guess that’s what I get for using an Elite and a BenQ. All wired and Ethernet. If no one else has seen it you must be right.
I don’t seem to have this issue either. Some combinations of monitors an game systems will cause a delay. I remember this type of thing being a huge deal when Rock Band / Guitar Hero came out, it even had a setting to calibrate your setup so that it removes the delay.
Hope you figure it out, best of luck.
It’s probably your TV. You might have even felt that aiming is a bit awkward. Have you tried setting your TV to a “Game” setting?

I use a 27 in BenQ. I was hoping maybe it was a glitch similar to when you throw a grenade and the animation happens and the grenade pops out 1/2 sec later. If no one else has seen the issue it must be my controller. It’s not a constant thing though. It’s only occasional and most noticeable with a Storm Rifle. I won’t bump the thread. If no one else responds I’ll try a new controller.

Have you tried a wired controller? Because if the problem still persists in that case, it’s most probably your TV.
I have the same problem… except its my TV. I have an elite hard wired, but my TV has bad input lag. With a BenQ there shouldn’t be any problem with almost 0 input lag. If it’s intermittent its just server lag. Probably being on the same server with players from other countries.
Edit: Go into custom games and shoot at a wall and see if there’s a delay. That will help you figure out what the problem is.
I had problems with input at times if I went too long with out pressing the button. Like if I wanted melee to be ready when I need it I would need to melee every now and then to make sure it wouldn’t lag.
Ever since the xbox one force the update that let you play 360 games every thing lagged. A friend downloaded it 1st before I did after playing on his console I noticed it was slower so I knew I wanted to stay clear of it. I don’t get it though the update was meant to make it run faster and be more responsive but it did the opposite. Plus Microsoft edge pop up blocker stopped working after the update too.
You should try a different controller and see if you still have the issue.
Also make sure your triggers on the elite are calibrated correctly. if it was set to only fire after the trigger is pulled all the way, it could seem like a delay.
I’ve had that happen but figured it was lag or my controller acting up. Pretty rare but annoying when it does it.
One of the issues is that the Xbox One’s trigger has an insane pull weight compared to the Xbox 360’s.
it could either be your internet or your TV/Monitor. Go to a custom game alone and see if it does the same thing, if it does then maybe its your tv that has a slow response time.
