Trigger inconsistent now?

Has anyone else noticed that since this update released sometimes you’ll pull your trigger and your battle rifle, assault rifle, etc. doesn’t consistently fire? This definitely needs a patch ASAP

It is actually more consistent and in-line with how a real-world rifle operates. The rate of fire is the same. You need to more precisely time your shots now, not blast the fire button as fast as possible or out of sync. You don’t get the huge margin of error that you used to. I’m glad they did this. Now the BR actually takes a tiny bit of coordination to use rather than the old jiggle left stick and spam right trigger.

You do know this is halo right ? It’s not a realistic shooter also considering they gave the option for trigger deadzones I don’t think why your saying is intentional game design rather this is a bug and needs to be fixed asap….

Glad this isnt just me experiencing this. Seems to only happen when im using the BR. Shooting fine then it just doesnt fire a burst when im in a gun fight.

You’re right. I hope they take it a step further and increase aim assist and magnetism, increase magazine size, and make it fully automatic while they’re at it.

They added new settings for the triggers. They now have a trigger sensitivity slider that can be adjusted. They seem to have defaulted it at 100% which means unless the trigger is all the way down it will not fire. I moved my sliders to 0% and it fixed the problem.

I didn’t have this issue during my gameplay last night, and I didn’t notice it while I was training with the Commando either. Could be a bug or settings issue, as stated by others.

After doing some more research on this issue that I’m also experiencing I found that it appears to be affecting primarily elite controller users or similar controllers. 343 is actively looking into the issue. I will swich to my regular controller later when I jump on to see if it fixes it and also try adjusting the deadzone setting to 0%.

Same here. Happens more than once in every ranked match. Its absolute annoying. Enemy is one-shot, you aim on his head, pull the trigger, nothings happens.

Serious problem, needs a fix ASAP. I have a newer model of a regular controller and it still impacts me, even tried altering the deadzones only on the R trigger and it does not help at all. I have also noticed the L trigger become more sensitive and throw grenades at times when I’m certain I’m not pulling L.

Interesting, I have a gen 2 xbox controller that came with my series x that was having the same problem until I adjusted the dead zone to 0% on both triggers and it seemed to have helped a lot.

Could also try and update your controller in your dashboard settings. Not sure if it will help or not, but it might be worth a shot.

Seems to be universal every now and then a button is ignored when fired.

I-It’s a video game. You’re off your rocker here.

sometimes real life justifications fall flat on their face when the game/media in question is not trying for that sense of realism to begin with too.

I haven’t noticed any Difference with the BR still getting tons of kills with it.

I noticed the Commando is less wobbly so I am now dropping more people with it and not losing to The pistol.

I did notice the BR does seem to now Jam or Not fire at all went I shoot, could be a animation or other glitch. But in a competitive shooter a gun jamming ain’t something that creates balance.
