So I am having a hell of a time completing the following commendations and I was wondering if anyone has found a good way to accomplish these?
Plasma Pistol - There is a guide out for this, but is there anything new on this?
Beam Rifle - Are there any playlists that have this at spawn?
Concussion Rifle - Are there any playlists that have this at spawn?
Mongoose Destroyer - This one is simply hard. Any Suggestions?
Mantis Destroyer - I don’t come across the mantis often. Whats the bets map/playlists for this?
Scorpion Destroyer - I got my first one of these today. I have only ever seen a tank on exile in BTB. Is there a good way to do this? Are there other maps/playlists that are better?
Perfection - Any tips here would be awesome. Cause this one just seems like 100% luck all the time…
By far the hardest WG commies are:
Plasma Pistol & Mongoose Destroyer
Beam Rifle and Concussion, you’ll get those personal ord drops on Longbow, Exile, and Vortex.
That goes for Scorpion Destroyer, since players don’t see DLC maps too much, you’ll find it only on Exile. HINT: Blow it up with a Spartan Laser.
Mantis & Perfection on the other hand, it requires a lot of luck. I finished mine back in January b/c i used mostly the DMR and Sniper. You’ll get the commie if you are good when it comes to nailing every shot with missing a single one and prevent yourself from dying. HINT: This is one of those times you should play BTB and find a good spot to nail players. The best place to get perfections is on Ragnarok b/c:
A. You get the Sniper
B. This will also be a good chance of pulling the final blow on the Mantis.
&
C. It has some good places to hide. Not saying camp, but an area where you can recharge your shields and continue the game.
vehicle kills is mostly about being smart, sometimes lucky, you cant grind those up unfortunately
perfections may take a while, very frustrating
weapon kills, loadout ones do in regicide, ordnance ones use the ordnance perks and just be patient, im afraid apart from that I know no quicker ways

Just want to add for OP, avoid 4v4 Slayer Games…somehow, there’s been a case of repeated Drops.
I don’t have a single mongoose kill in Halo 4.
I’m doing beam rifle and concussion rifle in Team Action Sack - Fiesta Classic right now and it racks up kills. add me MattOfUTexas
You can do vehicle commendation in spartan ops. It only says enemy kill not Spartan.
all my perfections have been in a mantis on ragnarok. the key is to be patient and wiley. let your teammates rack up kills as people come for you. just keep trying to do damage to people and staying alive. before you know it the match will be over and you have 15 kills. keep a sharp eye for spartan lasers and avoid some of the rock outcroppings that your opponent can sneak up to without opening themselves to all your dmr/sniper support.

Plasma Pistol - Any time you get damage boost as an option think plasma pistol time.
Mongoose Destroyer - The only way to really go for this (only respectable way) is to try to go for mongoose splatters. If someone kicks you off your mongoose kill him tell he dies from it.
Mantis Destroyer & Scorpion Destroyer - These are cake. If you hang out in BTB you will get these fast.
Perfection- camp with the tank and hope the other team sucks.

Don’t forget the part about using your teammates as bait, all the ‘great’ k/d players do it.
No but seriously, if you want to actually get perfections, play with a team, coordinate, use the sniper, dmr, keep your distance in a relatively good cover position and pound random noobs into the ground 100 kills to 7 in BTB.

True…i tend to use my teammates as decoys, so i can see where the opposing player are. I’m so bad, lol.
Indeed, the Sniper and DMR work best if you want to get a perfection, OP.
I’m currently 100 concussion kills from mastering it i’m doing it in Action Sack i suggest getting Lighting Flag, but you have to get in ordinance i got 29 concussion kills in a game last night with a +51 so that’s by far the easiest or do Fiesta and pick it up from enemies who spawned with it.
I have seen a lot of people suggesting you roll with a team and to that I have to say that all depends on the skill of your friends. If you run a full team you are going to get matched primarily against full teams meaning if your team is bad you will not have much of a chance.
To everyone that thinks the mongoose one is impossible it is most definitely not. You have to be willing to put in the work if you want to try to get it. I will have it in 7 days without boosting.

Really? If that’s true, then it won’t help with the UNSC vehicles much.

Yes that is the case. BTB makes killing ALL vehicles other than the wraith easy though. If you want to get the wraith go to dominion or Ops (1-1).

There are a few Vehicle commendations you can complete in Spartan Ops, but only like 1 or 2.

I’m assuming you can’t do these in custom matches?
One other minor suggestion on the PP (in addition to using with Damage Boost) is to use it to finish people. Several times I have had it out trying to get an overcharge on a vehicle, or maybe run out of my primary weapon, and spam the PP at someone who has their shields down.
Not going to get you a lot, but if you are in BTB trying to get the vehicles, you might get a few as you go along.
