The HAYABUSA armor in Halo 3 aroused the curiosity of a handful of my friends, who were avid Ninja Gaiden fans, back in 2008. I modded some offline accounts for them and played a couple games with them, and they’ve been hooked on the series ever since.
So here’s what I think should be done (assuming 343i other game companies can be bothered with the paperwork). For Halo 4, armor similar (Halofied, I suppose) to that used in other series should be designed, hopefully attracting the attention of non-Halo fans. Ideas I had were:
-Gear/Onyx Guard, Gears of War -Predator (Aliens vs Predator) -Dragonborn, Skyrim -Hayabusa, Ninja Gaiden (never thought I’d ever support its return) -Spartan General, God of War -Spartan; the SPARTAN-II’s namesake deserves more of a tribute (they should probably bring this back to complete the “Spartan” image) -Viking. How much Spartan tech is named after Norse mythology? MJOLNIR Powered Armor (Thor’s hammer, Mjölnir), GUNGNIR weapons and armor variant (Odin’s spear), the AI “Loki” on Harvest (Loki, the God of chaos), FENRIS nuclear warheads (Fenris/Fenrir/Fenrisúlfr/Hróðvitnir, the monster wolf, son of Loki)… I can go on.

Actually, I never noticed the Splinter Cell reference…

They all look good! Make an addition for Skyrim armour as well! Maybe… Daedric Armour as an ancient evil? It would be very interesting to see a character on Halo 4 similar to Daedric.
