Yeah I killed somebody in infection he messaged my calling me a -Yoink!- I told him lol he continued to go specifically for me for the rest of the game I found it hilarious because he only killed me once

On the Battle Of Sanctum in WZ I stole this guy’s wasp in Temple up where the bosses spawn, killed him, then killed the boss. He messaged me saying something like “wow thats cheap”
That’s pretty much the story of online gaming nowadays. I’ve heard people call my group unpleasant names when we dominated them. It’s just something you have to get used to.
I only hear trash talkers once in a blue moon because people barely talk anymore over the mic.
I don’t use the mics anymore; everytime I do on custom, I get some kid trying to make me join his clan or somone telling me how much everything was everyone else’s fault (cause, yano?.. he is MLG and all).
Also, sometimes you get Sgt.Srs playing like his life depends in it, shouting at all the weapon placements, “like mann, we can see the -Yoinking!- timer too!!”.

honestly after playing so much HWC, which is fun because it cuts down on cheap kills, it becomes hard to enjoy other playlist. About the only other playlist i can tolerate is shotty snipes and FFA. Using the shotgun is a choice that is fine its part of the playlist. I just find the playlist fun cause its not ranked, i can use sniper to hit multikills, and it has a good population to it. I use the shotgun when i need to, to stay alive and to chain multikills and such. to me though the sniper is the fun part. Using the shotgun just feels cheap.

I main a pistol and/or dmr. But if I’ve got a sniper I will chuck it off the map or waste it cuz I prefer to fly at kids rather than sit back.
I use to trash talk, I feel it’s a part of any sport. Rather you’re playing a physical or eSport, it’s all in the fun of the game. I don’t do personal attacks like most kids seem to do. I was more of a sour winner not loser, I do not do this anymore. Not because I do not support game trash talk, but Microsoft has given me a few communication suspensions for voice chat.
I talked with a rep(because I was a little upset I got suspended because of something I said.), and he agreed that trash talking is part of any game. I was suggested to create a party of people I knew. To prevent future suspensions. You can find many Halo trouny trash talk videos, I prefer trash talking over the dreaded corpse ownership known as T-bagging. I do it all in fun of the game, unlike those that trash talk their own teammates for not doing so good.
Those guys irritate me, they think they are the best MLG players in the game. They lone wolf in a team game, only call out when they are almost dead. Then once they die because they are across the map no where with the team, they cry about how their team sucks, or the kid that thinks he is a leader. This kid is one of the worst. He will direct you where to go. Then once this is done, he cries because he dies while you’re going to the spot he told you to. Then he wants to know why you were not with him preventing his death.
The non-talking power weapon team killer. This person needs no introduction, you call out the power weapon and get it before this kid arrives. Then he does everything in his power to kill you over the weapon. Then you go back to kill him, not for the weapon but for the fact you called it. He killed you for it. Then this kid jumps off the map with the weapon, camps the power weapon spawn and hunts you down for the entirety of the game or until you get the chance to boot him.
Same for the savage YOINKED losers. You shot a guy can be on accident, or purpose but you YOINK this kid and you might as well stop playing. He will follow you around and make your game hell. From lowering shields to betrayals. Sometimes an apology can fix it, other times the RAGE just comes out of these kids and all I can picture is something in their head snapped and they give a warcry of “REEEEEEE”
I guess the trash talk is a situation to situation thing. Halo can be a game of frustration.

i get upset sometimes but mostly at how the game matches teams nowhere near each others skill level.
im normaly yelling at my screen when a team mate kills the guy you are in the middle of assassinating. that is why my mic is always unplugged. its like damn you seen me killing him.
Trash talkers are fun because if you respond to them calmly and respectfully, it makes them even angrier. It’s hilarious to me.
I don’t really get offended by the trash talk, I haven’t responded to trash talk since Halo 2, but I also have no problem reporting someone if its warranted.
Though I do hate trash talkers. Thankfully I never really deal with them unless they send me a private message. If the trash talking gets out of hand in either game chat or private messages, I don’t have a problem reporting them on Xbox Live. I don’t know if others respond the same way, but maybe if a bunch of people did that as well and someone habitually talks trash it could result in ruining their Xbox Live experience… maybe after a while they’ll get annoyed with bans, just like others get annoyed with their trash talk and they will just learn to keep to themselves.

Probably because h5 is so team based that it doesn’t matter how well you do as an individual you can have the game of your life and still lose because some rubbish teammates have gone negative, double negative and treble negative ( fairly often this happens ) it’s a really competitive game so for most when you get good at the game you want to improve in rank this is often held back by wonky MM , uneven teams , rubbish team mates , poor servers , random glitches, heavy aim , lag etc etc etc etc the list seems endless with H5 unfortunately. This means you encounter a lot of annoyed people. People don’t like losing in general they don’t like getting trampled either . H5 is really bad at matching equally skilled players. Hence the anger hence the trash talking. Final point get someone on the internet and their brave . Meet them in the flesh and not so much .
