Transport Falcon for TU?

Hey everyone, So I was just thinking about the falcon in Halo Reach.

Remember when there were 2 version of the Hornet in Halo 3? They had the normal hornet with a more firepower, then they had the Transport Hornet that had less fire power.

Basically, I was wondering if they could add a different type of Falcon.

Current Falcon:
One Pilot - No Gun
2 Jumpseats -Turrets

Transport Falcon:
One Pilot - Main Turret
2 Jumpseats - Player Weapon.

I think it would add a new level of gameplay to have the jumpseats on a falcon with no turret, but instead, the players primary or secondary weapon.

I mean, come on. We all want to try sniping our buddies from the jumpseat of a falcon and feeling like a Navy Seal.

I would prefer a Hornet, it was more agile and could take off/land with way more ease.

There would need to be a whole new map for it, unfortunately.

I’d love a transport Falcon! Or better yet, a Pelican!

It would be cool substitute for the Hornet.

as much as I liked the Hornet, I prefer the falcon, and i’d much enjoy a different (Passenger) version

Are you sure that the wouldn’t be able to code it into forge world? They can change the damage and stuff on vechiles without adding a new map, so wouldn’t they just need to add the gun on the front and remove the ones from the side?

It’s already in the games code but it’s not as easy as pressing buttons and boom it’s in the game.

I dunno, unless it had a nerfed chin turret (you’ll notice in the Winter Contingency these Falcons don’t have side turrets) to defend it’s self, then it could possibly do more harm then good (I.E Free multi kills for those who shoot down the Falcon with Rockets or Laser).

Why not have 4 players in the back? like in campaign.

Actually why not just port the exact falcon from campaign and just nerf the turret?

I don’t think that’s a good idea. The idea of the Falcon (and original for the Hornet and the Banshee to some degree) was a support vehicle that didn’t dominate the battlefield. The Hornet with rockets was too powerful, but the Hornet without was nicely balanced. A Falcon with the front guns would just be abused almost as much as the Banshee and people will just camp the spawn location to boost their stats and ignore the Flag carrier.

Speaking of CTF, the Hornet made CTF matches too easy. Even if you could get the right weapon to take out the Hornet you were usually too slow to keep up with it and it would always get away. If the Falcon is the same then it can make it unfair and unbalanced. People already use the back of the Falcon to deliver the core in Invasion too quickly.

At least with ground vehicles they need to move through the terrain and think about the right approach.
