How about shipping a full game for once? It’s been six years and you’ve delayed it once already. Get it together and have some dignity.
Unfortunately that is the state of games nowadays. I can’t even blame 343 for following this trend at least, it is the most profitable after all.

I am 100% sure that if they released a full game, delay or no delay, that they would make more money due to player retention.

I disagree. Modern advertising tactics and schemes are a much easier to way to make money. Earning it through good will is hard and risky, although I do think better for the game in the long run, it is not necessarily more profitable.
