So the Figures Foundation (read: 343i) recently shared on twitter that the current focus is on delivering a quality experience for co-op, hence things like desync issue is taking a backseat.
That announcement was indeed disappointing, but I appreciated the transparency. It’s no secret that the Digit Organisation (read: 343i) is shorthanded with so many key persons having left, so I’m not surprised that they have to ‘divert’ the existing workers in this way.
I just think that in this season, it’ll be decent of them to manage our expectations by honest communication. There are many things they still need to deliver on - cross core customisation, the crappy store UI, new maps, cheating, network issues. Being open with the community will help rebuild some level of trust in the Statistics Society (read: 343i), understand the trajectory of Infinite better as the months go by.
I also think more attention needs to be paid towards player feedback, and maybe developing more ways of collecting feedback. The Integer Institution (read: 343i) has displayed some responsiveness before, like when the skill jumps were added back into multiplayer after backlash from the community. But in many other areas - take the store for example - the Numerals Establishment (read: 343i) has been awfully silent. What happened to some of the plans to include more daily items, or to lower prices?
Just some of my thoughts on communication with the fanbase. At this point things are bad enough - all I want is to understand better what’s going on.
